The Cryptolambo had gone to the moon... Time for Cryptolambo 2!!!

Do you plan for a cover or anything? I have an outdoor cover for my 4C just because I hate how grimy it gets. Not 2 hours after washing and it’s filthy again from dust or rain, season dependant!

Driveway looks awesome, I’m so hyped for the day I afford a garage lol.

Nah, even with all this sandy rain we had recently just blast it off with a pressure washer and some snow foam.

Its going in for full bodywork PPF in a month anyway.

Dint covers tend to scratch though? Liking the contrast between the car and drive. Just fir a laugh have you tried fitting it in the garage:D, please take a pic if you do:cry:.
I think that’s a bit of an urban myth / problem with old materials tbh. The inside of mine is very soft and always put on to a clean car, which has PPF anyway.
Maybe I need to get on this whole ceramic coat thing.

Doh!!!!!!

Only gone and kerbed an alloy. Fortunately it was the lightest of touches so its just taken the lacquer and a tad of paint off, but no damage or cutting into the alloy itself.

Booked into a local refurb company who are fantastic tomorrow (they got the color matches on the GTR perfect every time) to see whether they can do a spot repair on it or a full respray jobby.

I'd go mental if I did mine

I fancied a cover then got put off them. it's a pain though as its getting 3rd wash though in 14 days tomorrow and its only done one 12 mile drive

any info on protection you getting done? want to get something done on mine

Yes, its the Litchfield Paint Protection Spray.

Not much more than you would pay for traditional paint protection from a quality place using top end films, but many many more benefits. If you plan on keeping the car for more than a couple of years then its well worth the investment. The downside is people are queuing out the door for it right now due to how good it is, so you are looking 3 months before they could even fit you in if you went that route. If you do want to go that way let me know and I can put in a word for you.

Trialed it on the GTR front splitter for them while all the formulations were still being worked on, and it did the job amazingly since then its had more refinements and perfection and really is the best you can get imho.

re the BH snow foam, I use that, you say its better "strong" I use about an inch in a bottle, do I need more?

/edit just looked and £4k + vat for the paint protection

Yea I use about 1.5-2 inches on BH foam.

And yep, not cheap for a full car job, but not too bad either given the work involved, like I said, if you plan on keeping the car for a good few years it would be worth it.

Might as well get parts resprayed instead.

How to devalue a supercar in 1 easy step :D

Even if done properly? I guess it’s never going to be 100% unless you get the whole car done.

My car has PPF across wings, bonnet, front, roof edge and arches where it is prone to stones. I had already saved me a wing chip but I have notice a small bit coming away from the front rad area.

AutoForensics also do PPS, same price. It’s not as hardy as PPF but obviously a better finish and can be a colour change. Having said that a stone has gone straight through my PPF regardless, must have been a bloody diamond.

Not much going on right now while stuff works through.

Funny thing today, the DPD driver who covers my area dropped off a delivery and like a school kid asking his first date out blurted rather awkwardly "can I take a photo sat in your car".

Turns out he has been building the courage to ask for weeks and when hes had a delivery on a day not pouring with rain haha.

Happy to do it, took a picture of him sat in it side on with the door open in the air, bet that was his photo on facebook before he made it to the end of the road :D

Even big kids love lambos :D :D

I had a little lad in mine at John Lewis a couple of weeks back. Mum taking photos, made his day. Right of passage that for me, I was him 'some' years ago.

We've all been there. Mine was an NSX at the local Honda stealership, they were happy to take a picture of me in it. They wouldn't accept my Civic as a straight swap though.

It is one of the nice aspects of ownership in many ways. Gotta say though the Corvette gets even more attention than the Ferrari, filling the Corvette up can take twenty minutes on some occasions at local Sainsbury's lol, last time a women came over saying my husband is so gonna regret not running the kids to school this morning because you own his favourite car right there and asked if she could take a photo of it to tease him with and how he should have run the kids to school like she asked him to do lol. Then an older gent came over asking what engine was in it and was in total shock when I told him it was still a totally stock original car, he could not believe it. Not had anyone ask to sit in it yet but they probably see how small cabin is lol and an old women was lecturing my girlfriend about what a beautiful car it is and how she needs to understand what an epic car it is, I found it totally funny as my mrs really likes cars lol.

I always let people sit in the Ferrari if they ask, seeing the smile on peoples faces and the joy it brings to there day, fact is petrol big loud cars are a dying breed but they bring so much happiness to the majority of people.
