***** The Crysis 2 Thread *****

Got my retail copy through the post today, installed and it auto-patched.

Activated o.k, have started the single player but can't find any multi-player matches yet, a couple of servers were full but mainly all empty at present.

Haven't played enough yet to comment on gameplay, visuals, framerates etc.
First impressions are good though, looks really nice on very High settings, only running a GTX 280 but even on extreme settings it seemed playable. Details and textures not as good as Crysis but with ini tweaks and the impending DX11 patch, i'm sure it'll eventually look just as good.

Well I got mine, and AVG say's that Crysis2.exe is a virus, shut down AVG and game wont even try to start.

System is Ocuk viper, with 6870 xfire.

AVG probably deleted or quarantined the file, it will be a false positive, make sure AVG is up to date or ditch it for a proper AV program

Having played a bit more, visually it's quite a step back from Crysis, even on extreme settings. This is without any ini tweaks though. The close up detail of most textures from wood, concrete, gravel etc are really lacking compared to Crysis. Gameplay? dunno, need to play more. Can tell already though how much more linear the game is than Crysis.

I attempted to buy through EA in February and thought I had until I got a mail 3 days later saying I hadn't paid so they had cancelled my order. Thought nothing of it so today I bought over Steam and it's been downloading all day.

I just got a mail from EA with an unlock code, seems they didn't actually cancel my order, just been going in circles on their website trying to find how to get in contact with someone, nightmare!

I found their terms and conditions state that there are no refunds for electronic downloads. I know this is probably going to be a massive ball ache to try and get a refund so is it possible to transfer it to someone else for them to play or am I stuck with two copies?

Cos it's a console port, so the graphics suck ;)
