You only have to read the google views to see many agree with me, it just needs patching as i said gameplay is fun, music is great but everything else..

1-the controls are obviously rushed, and poorly implemented on PC
2-virtually 0 graphical control, aside from resolution changes and v-sync
3-weird messed up frame rate problems that shouldn't occur


1. The controls are horrible with Keyboard and Mouse but great with Gamepad
2. The Vsync doesn't work for many players and there are no graphical control (like you wrote)
3. The graphics looks like crap (worst I've seen for a big game since 2008) and the main character in the inventory window looks like PS1 graphics
4. STUTTERING (not very noticable without Vsync but at that point tearing occur) - especially if you force Vsync and triple buffering outside of the game
 
Some of the complaints I can agree with, vsync does appear broken, tearing issues, poor textures everywhere if you're looking for them, none are affecting my enjoyment of the game in the slightest. The controls I could see being poor with k/m, but the pc gamers that are moaning are probably the same ones that think it's ridiculous to control an FPS with a controller, to me trying to play Darksiders with k/m is 10x more absurd than using a pad for an FPS.

It's winning no awards for technical achievement, but the artstyle on it's own is enough to make me see a very nice looking game when I play Darksiders 2. If it's such a bad port, play the console version. If you want the best version of Darksiders 2, that is easily the pc version, as long as you can handle it not being a million miles ahead of the 360/PS3 version. Some games aren't trying to push the boat from a technical standpoint, nor do they need to in order to look good.
 
I didn't suggest you said it was a bad game. It's not totally free from small technical issues, but then how many pc exclusives are at release? Seems like if it's a multi platform release and it's not technically flawless, people are quick to call it a bad port. Maybe that does make it a bad port, I dunno, I'm quite sure other than the relatively minor technical problems that should be fixed, they pretty much made and released the game they wanted to.
 
Well i thought this was a bad port check out, dark souls...

eeep even with the res internal fix, don't think the game has ever touched a keyboard and mouse :D

I hate controllers :(
 
In regards to the controls, it appears the map tab doesn't show the correct button for changing between the overworld and local map. It says you need to use "A" to change, but it is in fact the left thumbstick which needs to be clicked. I've seen a couple of console shots and they show the correct button.

But apart from the above, some slight juddering every now and then, and the in-game VSync not working (I just forced Adaptive VSync through Nvidia CP), I've had no issues that have affected my enjoyment of the game so far.
 
finnished on ps3 have to say the story was pretty poor but still a decent game but the first was miles better imo
 
So far I just started some quests in the realm of the dead and the sound is all messed up. Anyone got this far yet to notice the sound?
 
It's Meh at best if I'm being honest. It had some nice moments in it, for sure, but it's got pretty major issues.

The story has more holes than swiss cheese... the ending is just poor and the final boss is terribly easy, really no challenge. In fact the last 2 zones feel a lot more rushed than the first 2 and lack in content when compared to the first 2.

Add that to the fact that you'll see invisible enemies the whole way through, but that you can only get the quest for those (among other quests) with the Death Rides DLC that only came with Game/Gamestation preorders.

I had fun playing it, and I've clocked up 30 hours, so I can't complain too much, but pick it up when it's cheap is my advice.

Vigil has been working hard to research and address each bug report in the forums – thank you for all the input! Update 2 has been released today and should resolve many of the issues you are experiencing.

Details:
• In this Update your key mappings will revert to defaults.
• Added Key Bindings option to the Pause Menu. (Previous location on the Moves List still there)
• The V-sync graphics option is now functional.
• Reaper Form now triggers correctly when using a Keyboard.
• Video Settings save to the Steam Cloud correctly.
• You can now sacrifice items below the 3rd row in the Possessed Weapon menu.
• Target Reticules align properly at all screen resolutions.
• Addressed crashes in Blackstone, including at the 2nd lever and during the Lilith cut-scene.
• Various gameplay progressions fixes.

Mouse Functionality:
- Camera Auto center Toggle

Bug Fixes:
- The Tome System works as intended while using an Xbox controller in the Tome System.
- Resolved issues around not being able to send Tome messages to Steam friends.
- Phasewalker now works properly after acquiring it within the Blackstone.
- Artifact Box and Legacy Box are now properly labeled in Vulgrim’s inventory.
- Exiting the game after adjusting the screen resolution will now save those settings.
- The ride-able construct will no longer free fall out of the game world when placing the ride-able construct under the Guardian and re-entering the room with the submerged lift in The Foundry.
- The Bridge should now properly drop within The Scar.
- The second lever within the Black Stone should now function as intended.
- Death should now be able to properly continue through the Eternal Throne when speaking to the guards.
- The pile of debris to the right of the skeleton key door in the second Heartstone room of The Foundry is no longer a match for the ride-able construct.
- The ride-able construct is positioned back in the water on the lift for those users who are stuck. (You may need to Fast Travel or back track out of the dungeon if you are currently stuck here.)
- The Custodian will no longer go for a swim when backtracking to the dungeon entrance after leaving the Custodian on one of the bridges in the room before the second Heartstone in the Foundry.
- The Resistance stats will properly update when returning 3 Stones of Resistance to Oran during the Stick and Stones quest.
- More support for different resolutions with HUD elements.

Just started playing it and looks amazing from the start on full AA and ambient occlusion. The background music is very nice with a mixture of adventure and sadness tone to it. Gameplay is solid, though wished Death could block attacks instead of just evading them.

Overall really enjoying it and gives me a break from BF3 :cool:
 
So far completed the mission 'restore fire to the mountain' in the cauldron.

Death's defense is around 120, but his strength is only at 8.

How do I increase his strength?
