The Darksiders 2 Thread

Loving the game so far I'm just stuck at one point. I wouldn't call it stuck. It's more of being a p***y

I have a massive phobia of spiders and the boss I'm about to encounter is a giant spider. :(
I have no idea how I can counter this problem.

Spiders were fine in Skyrim because I just modded it to bears but this is worrying. Since I'm enjoying the game but I can't carry on.

So started playing this yesterday.

Im pretty early on in the game still lvl 2.

I'm playing on Normal difficulty and made it to Gorewood boss.

But he keep one hit killing me. I'm only lvl 2! All videos on you tube the players are like lvl 10 etc...

So, go back and level up more, explore some areas.

EDIT: I have yet to even face him and am much higher than level 2??? Have you just skipped everything?

Don't think I killed Gorewood until level 14, wait until you get to the crucible :p Took 40 mins to finish that.

I'm loving the game so far, not usually my type of game but it's really good fun, just head through the TOL so time to start exploring.

I enjoy playing this one, but much prefer the first haha.

Nope I haven’t skipped anything.... I think that’s the problem.

I was trying to be thorough and checking out every avenue, and somehow made it to this boss.

So basically I should give up and come back later.

So just how bad/difficult to play is this with keyboard and mouse?

I bought the first one as part of the THQ humble bundle but not got around to playing it yet. I really like what I hear about it and the sequel, but...

1. I don't own a gamepad
2. I completely suck at using gamepads (likely through lack of practice, but I just can't get comfortable with them)

If I do play them I will likely at least try to use kb/m, and if it proves too unwieldy, then I honestly don't know if I could get to grips with buying and using a pad. Anyone tried these with kb/m got any opinions?

If DS2 does come up again in the sales I may get it, but may also be put off if kb/m implementation is poor.

No problem. I played the first with kb/m and I'm playing the second with the same.

Cool. So is it perfectly okay with kbm? Or more like just about playable even though you can tell it's not the best input method? I've played some games where I've just about got by with kbm, but found it a bit clumsy. Would be good to know where on this continuum DS 1&2 are.

I've never used a game pad on a pc before, so maybe I'm bias. But it's perfectly fine.
