Hasn't there been a temporary reprieve on the Statue of Limitations to allow historical cases? Might be a state thing rather than US wide though
 
The trial started this week and well, the opening and ongoing statements have been pretty wild lol.

50 Cent is a mastertroller and one of the most petty rich people I know of. Love it. :cry:

Some of the stories coming out of this case are wild. When I was growing up Bad Boy Entertainment felt like they could do no wrong. I think saying 'I looked up to' or 'I idolised' Puff would be a bit extreme but I was a massive, massive fan of those guys when I was young. I distinctly remember getting dropped off to my infant school being parked around the side when on Galaxy FM they announced that Biggie was murdered and I cried (I also cried watching the Star Gate movie so there is that)

Big believer in separating the art from the man but I'm struggling to do that for Diddy this time. Everything that comes out just makes him seem worse than before and I don't know when it'll stop!

Yea same, I use to love p diddy's songs etc.

Kanye west however is on a wholew new spectrum though. He has totaly lost the plot. i wont mention what he has just released about 5-6 days ago but i was gobsmacked

Yeah, I was a staunch Kanye defender but he really lost the plot after The Life of Pablo. Had a little run of those short 7 track albums he did with other artists but now he is just mental and he isn't even making good music to justify the craziness. (But from College Dropout to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Nightmare, hew was on one hell of a run!)
 
i am mates with a couple of guys who used to be Lost Prophets fans.

Its fair to say that was awkward at the time. i feel sorry for the rest of the band however who will likely for ever be tainted when it comes to their future careers.

Different states, and as I understand it even different cities and possibly different judges have different rules for how they deal with the press.

Televising a court case tends to require the court room be set up for it and a fair bit of additional space, equipment and potential disruption so not all courts even in states that allow it will be set up for it, and some judges don't like it because of the disruption/chance of it affecting the outcome of the trial.

It's a tricky one and I think sex trafficking is going to be difficult to make stick. They'll need more witness victims than just Cassie because that looks consensual even if Diddy treated her disgracefully. I'd also bet some women on the jury won't have much sympathy to Cassie
