The disappearance of Nicola Bulley

There is no real rhyme or reason as to why some cases get picked up massively. Some just get traction and once you get that the media latch on and its guaranteed to be a far bigger case than it merits.
It does help if they are good looking and/or well connected.

Honestly sick of hearing about this, it's bloody everywhere and I can't seem to get away from this. Yes it's sad and RIP, but no need to have wall-to-wall coverage when there's many more important things going on, just update us when they find the body

The news has generally moved on to the earthquake. Another day, another story.

One does wonder where they go from here if no body is found in the river, a lot of time has passed since the event now, its going to be hard after that time to find clues on site to what else happened

Correct. But you disputed what I was saying when I pointed out he was talking poop
Disputed is probably an overly defensive word to use. All I said really was that he and his company have a wealth of experience and their assessment is probably accurate based on that, which seems to me to be an entirely reasonable stance to take.

Are you sure about that? I read a different version. The call was not on mute, it was just not on speaker and the phone was found by divers at the bottom of the river.
The dog was dry, though.
I don't quite get the significance of the lead being removed.

Was it? I remember the first 2-3 days of reporting that the phone was left on the bench she would often sit at when walking the dog.

Yeah there was all sorts of reports of what happened intiaily that didn't add up. Think we just use the latest reported information now, as that seems less prone to be changed again unlike in the first few days.

Care to explain how its hurting your brain?

It's only a statement that they themselves gave, or are you one of those people who don't trust the experts or the science.
Double down, amazing. The guy himself said it will take 2-3 days. That is the actual expert.

Paul Faulding a world-renowned forensics expert and the founder of Specialist Group International, using high spec sonar equipment has a very high hit rate and can find people within an hour.

It's not doubling down when that is exactly what they said, but by all means carry on being a douche.

and another quote from the same "expert"
Paul Faulding we have worked on hundreds of these cases, and we always, generally find people within the hour.

What's to say that the "person" the passers by saw was Nicola at all. Could have already been abducted and someone else sent to place the phone / leave the dog at the scene. On the face of it, the perfect crime.

Ok, this thread has officially reached pancake now
