The disappearance of Nicola Bulley

the amount of social media coverage ?
news was saying today how the cloud uses >10% of the Irish electricity production and it's needs have caused throttling in London area, we could turn it off come the next freeze/energy shortage.

hasn't everone been to jail a few times and solved a few crimes.

"the cloud"? What's that then?

So the diving expert company who guarantee to find a body within 1 hour says she's definitely not in the river.

The dog (the only witness) was found distressed at the scene, which suggests she came to harm (as opposed to doing a Reggie Perrin).

No one in the park heard any screams, also at the time she was on a microsoft teams work meeting - no mention by colleagues of any struggle or odd occurences. The phone was left on the bench as she felt comfortable with whom approached and didnt't need to keep it in her hand - this suggests she knows her attacker.

The cctv camera at the end of the park was damaged, so the abductor could make good his escape with the body unobserved.

Shaggy & Scooby would unmask the boyfriend as the culprit - He seems keen to give tv interviews - very calm (If it was my girlfriend I would have been swimming that river looking for her). She was probably having an affair, he's throttled her and hidden the body.

Another Ian Huntley / Karen Matthews I suspect.

The stopping of posting on social media in December after posting on it everyday is a bit odd.

I mean maybe she was trying an internet detox and it is just a coincidence, but it could point to family or mental health issues.

To touch on this, i'd used facebook since 2006 daily until 2017 - when I confronted some MH issues I was having in October 2017, first thing I did was deactivate my FB account, haven't been back since.

As i've probed more into mental health problems, sudden absence from social media is a very telltale sign people are going through something - seems obvious in retrospect.

Yeh. It is possible that she did it for no other reason than to try and take a healthy break from it...However I think it is far more likely that it was done due to family or mental health issues.

Always good to start your post with a bit of fiction.

I was thinking that's quite a claim to make.

You've no idea how wide/deep the river is, how fast its current is which obviously widens the search area. The river could be full of debris making it harder to potentially find a body. The river could be carrying a lot of sediment or pollution/anything that darkens the water and makes it harder to see.

I'm not a diver or search expert, but can come up with a list of reasons why you're unlikely to guarantee to find something in an hour.

I thought this was a rather amusing post... but I'm not sure if it was meant to be?

Facebook are probably in a very good position to provide early warning that intervention may be needed for some people.

I'm sure there have been studies into the way people's language changes, plus other signs, as they become depressed.

An obvious one is my sister going through a horrible breakup who has started posting those twee motivational meme things in all time.

Even the forensic investigator is now saying he thinks the phone was left on the bench as a decoy by a third party

A person or corpse with an active phone can be traced from cell to cell, so a person wanting to disappear or someone wanting to hide a corpse would not want a phone on them.

The press and general media have certainly latched on to this case, it could be become the new Maddie.

The absolute state of this post.

As I posted earlier, in a case I personally know the persons body wasn't found in the river for over a month and then it was only around a mile away.

Admittedly it didnt have national interest, but there was an initial search from police divers for a few days.

Yeah, I could definitely see this given the correct algorithm. I'm sure there was a story about a supermarket (Tesco?) identifying that a woman was pregnant and sending her coupons for baby stuff before she even knew herself, purely based on the products she was buying? (This may have been some urban myth :p).

Unfortunately I doubt they'd ever consider using this data for some kind of "good" purpose like this, unless they can make money from it.
