Indeed Tony, always been the case and always will be. Hopefully this will stop people from still saying "oh but certain features weren't able to be fully optimised or/and buggy so unfortunately they had to be removed" and the other usual BS.
The division still looks good on pc but it could have looked so much better, fortunately the gameplay etc. is superb though.
Maybe some day we will get another "crysis".
Personally that will only happen with a big budget, PC only title. Of which there are very few. And they're becoming rarer.

They should learn from the example set by Crystal Dynamics with RotTR on how to make a PC game and make it gloriously deserving to be run on a PC.

While I'm never happy that a game is held back or limited to keep it in line with consoles I am satisfied enough from the Beta that this is certainly one of the better cases, and is far from just another port, it still looks very good.
I think one of the problems is that while my hardware and probably many on this forums could handle the game had they thrown the kitchen sink at us graphic wise, many (most) people out there are using £50 - 150 GPU's, many of them being a few years old.
Your average PC won't be much better then a current console, if at all, and given the massive arrangement's of set-ups people run its probably unfair to expect a developer to cater to a very small 'extreme' minority, even if this was a PC only game.
Also don't forget that Tomb Raider is a fairly limited, linear game, while it looks great as it is now I doubt it would be playable if the maps were open world or had more then a dozen characters on screen at any one time.

I actually quite like the placement of the health etc. With auto hide HUD on, it works well.
True enough, I fully expect them to bundle division codes so we should hopefully get codes for about £15-20 on the MM
I'd be up for getting a bundle with you guys

Not surprised it was held back but, it hurts to hear it confirmed.
Another example of how the console wars are not only harming console gaming but pc gaming too. I guess this is the reason that Crysis 3 is still pretty much the best looking game available despite being 3 years old.

You must have missed the obvious subtext implying that Massive don't know what they're doing on PC. Hey ho
Except tomb raider's is ****ing awful for performance even for people with top end PC's
And for some, it is constantly crashing too, I can't play the game for more than 10 minutes without a CTD, tried various things and still crashes, going back to the game before the patch, it runs longer without crashes but not really an ideal solution. I have had more crashes in 12 hours of ROTTR than I've had in the 55 hours of batman arkham knight
Division on the other hand..... looks superb, runs superb and not a single crash and this was in beta state too (although that could change come final release ala bf 3/4 alpha/betas....)

Tomb Raider runs just fine? It's fluid throughout with maximum settings, Division looks worse at max and runs worse too in a less debris filled world going by the beta.
