The Division. Are we interested?

Whilst I get your overall sentiment, £1.70 to try the game before you fork out full whack for it isn't really a bad deal and I suspect that is the main reason people are buying these, as opposed to getting early access.

It is a bad deal. We used to have games companies produce worthwhile demos to both test and whet peoples appetites, and now we're paying to test their product for them.

I understand thats the way things have gone, and it may be the cost of a packet of crisps or whatever, but it's not a good deal!

Ubi are not selling keys.

They are the catalyst behind it though by making beta access available through preorder only thus giving cd key sellers the opportunity to capitalize on this. They are not directly involved in selling keys, I understand that.

I'll probably just preorder from Amazon and cancel after I've got my key. :p

Can I assume this is going to be Co-Op ? and not PvP
To me this looks the same engine as Rainbow Six Siege

It's both. Co-op appears to be the main part of it but there are also areas called Dark Zones that you need to enter via an airlock in a sense. Once in this area it's PvP.

The character ranking appears to be different in PvP, so it appears you can play the entire game in Co-op and not worry about missing anything if you avoid PvP.

From what I've read though, all the best gear is in the Dark Zones. Should be good hopefully. I may just shell out for the Beta code. It's only a couple of quid.

The beta is not available via pre order only, pre ordering just guarantees access.

Whether it's a good deal is purely an objective opinion. For many, myself included, it's worth the measly £1.75 for the chance to try this game before it's released. For many, it isn't worth it. However, nobody is putting a gun to people's head and making them hand over cash.

Whilst it'd be great to get a free demo, there is no obligation for the developer to offer one, at the end of the day.

It's not PvP like CoD or Destiny team based matches or anything. Dark Zones are basically DayZ...free fire zones where you can team up with people you run into....or not. The old gameplay trailer shows that side of things.

I find my self with a real hope for this game. ubi have gone out on a limb releasing such a wide spread beta, the beta is optional, many of the sales can be cancelled once the beta has been tried and given the name ubisoft have given them selfs with the bait and switch antics and poor support of the past they must be confident in this. It does give me a confidence i just plain lost in ubisoft in the past.

Quite excited for it now, the combat exchanges with fire arms look fine for a 3rd person using a joypad, what i would expect anyway. I fully expect them to be sharper with kb and mouse.

OK, signed up for the Beta, £1.90 for some reason but code was redeemed successfully.

Anyone who will be playing late at night, 10pm onwards, add me on UPlay. APater6076

Ordered mine, £1.46, can't complain! Just hope the game lives up to the hype... feel free to add me on Uplay. FlashAhhhhhh
