why would they ever have intentionally allowed a 100% crit chance anyway? surely it'd be like having 100% armour mitigation.

It was soft capped at 60 or 65 I believe but savage gloves and pulse still pushed past it, its not necessary a bad change but its more the fact they never listed it in patch notes.

Well worth checking what your crit chance is and changing skill equipment so you dont go over the new cap

meh, if it was OP before and as long as it's working as intended now does it matter?

People spend a lot of time grinding to min max their gear, if someone has spec'd into crit chance & damage they might have spent a huge amount of time doing that.

If the Devs are up front about it and tell people ala Sentrys nerf people get upset but accept it, if someone has rolled 30 sets of gloves this week trying to get savage, CHC, CHD their going to be upset they used up all there mats for something they don't now need.

It does if you have purposefully rolled a piece of gear towards crit chance which is taking you over the cap.

Mainly because now, there could be the option for some people to reduce their crit change, by rolling away from it toward something useful.

its the same as having a massive armour value over that cap as its irrelevant. Like I have seen screenshots on reddit of people having an armour rating of 6000+ when the cap is much lower so its wasted.

Might be worth dumping the savage gloves now then depending on what you have spec'd and if you use pulse. People are saying AR's are the way to go now if you use the pulse as they hit harder.

At times it's like playing a beta game and right in the middle they change the rules...

I think its -Gamble- although I don't own GTAV on Steam. I bought it via Rockstar Social Club so will add you on there :)

Ah makes sense, I found 9000 Gambles though, more than the world could handle ;p

unless im misunderstanding, the cap was always 60% wasn't it? so if crit chance was bugged to allow it going over then isn't fixing it a good thing?

Fixing it is a good thing, but what I mean is maybe people found the glitch and rolled gear to higher than 60% - they can now roll it back down and replace that roll with something better for them :)

ah so people are complaining that having exploited a bug they weren't informed it was resolved because it's not fair that others may have a proper fighting chance?

I think my crit change was 63% anyway so I wont be touching anything

To be fair, its never been stated to be a bug and it would be quite easy to assume its how its supposed to be ?? Damage protection from elites / reckless and many more !

It doesn't however excuse the fact we were not told about it
 
Ever get on and nothing is working.
Join a DZ group, complete chaos, no one can coordinate and get together etc, one guy runs straight in and gets dropped. Leave.
Join new incursion, (after many joins and drops) 2nd part one guy leaves, other two run off in different directions and get dropped immediately (repeat this process).
Go solo in DZ, too many rogue groups (who were seriously loaded) to make it worth while :/
Finally go do search and destroy missions, final part after purchasing the target PC freezes and shuts game down :/ (this has only started happening since the new patch?)

Which is hilarious, as the night before it was awesome, got 3 green sealed pouches leading to 2x 240 knee pads and body armour!

Will maybe try again tonight.
 
Just a quick question. It seems gear has changed quite a bit in the new patch. I was mainly going for DPS but looks like toughness is the new fad.
Since I reworked my green gear towards dps, does it now mean I have to start getting new green gear to get my toughness up?
I played a bit in DZ last night and got whipped where i could normally survive quite well.

have up upped your armour since the cap went up to 75%. helps with being less squishy.
