*** The Division Thread 2.0 ***

Maybe ill just give this another shot! Will wait til i see a good pc price and just go for it, sounds like fun for what it is. Tried it on xb1 at launch and wasnt all to impressed but thats a mixture of playing it on a console and not having much time to focus on it back then

£17 on Instant Gaming (Somewhat obscure for some, but I've used them loads, no issues whatsoever)

Not played since 1.2, maybe 1.3 I cant remember.
I tried the 1.4 PTS but just went and cried in a corner with what they did to my Electronics build.

Long story short, In 1.5 can I run a setup where my skills won't be on cooldown after the active time has expired?
Is there such a thing as an electronics build anymore? I loved playing support, with my maxed pulse and smart cover, is this still a viable playstyle?

Looks like so much has changed I might be better just rolling from Level 1 again to adjust to all the changes.

So much has definitely changed since then! I remember seeing you post a lot about FL back then :D

For the skills - no. Stuff like pulse/smart cover/immuniser/ballistic shield etc go on cooldown after they have expired.

Seeker mines and turrets also do the same, but it counts them being deployed as the start of the expiration which means they can be spammed in a sense.

However, its not that much of an issue anymore as if you wanted to spec into electronics you still can, but you will need to pay attention to skill haste, run skilled as well as maybe run coolheaded on something.

TTK is so low now that even a tanky, electronics build can bring an NPC down pretty quick with an LMG or something.

For example, I was running a 4 pc FM build for wt4 heroic CS - without coolheaded or skilled and I was able to sit on the sniper hut the whole time and survive lol SC provided a good buff, overheal was good. Its not as viable but its still good.

Another example!!!!!! I got killed last night in the DZ by a seeker mine from full health. :D

1 through to 30 hasn't changed much if at all tbh, but from 30 and up that is the main change so what you could do is take your latest gear, start at world tier 1 and work your way up that way relearning.

I'm gonna go for a nice support build in 1.5 with 4 Rec + 2 TA, get a nice Stam/Elec build going for a nice SC and Pulse and let everyone else provide the firepower whilst I hand out the Explosive/Inced ammo like sweeties :D ;)

Haven't done one since 1.3 but am looking forward to speccing it right for a nice group addition (good chunk of Skill Haste etc)

will be solid man :) And would be a good addition to a 4 FM build for CS in wt5 for example! And also DN

wonder how much electronics you need to down someone like gamble with a seeker mine..

my 100k skill only just kills the WT normal NPC (not vet or elite).

I had 59.8% armour and 423k toughness last night and 1/3 of an overheal and got wrecked.

No idea man! I tried it before and killed one person, but I don't think they had much armour. (think I had 250k SP)

Maybe complete glass, everything rolled towards electronics and SP as well as having a tacticians boost?

Was a bit of a wtf moment, then a wow - that was pretty cool lol

Those agents last night were running decent stuff, they were using skills quite a bit so someone must have had good electronics. I shot the multiple seeker chasing Mario and they exploded at a little distance and they downed Mario extremely fast. Sorry for that Mario lol, thankfully I was there to revive :D

Looking forward to getting some 256 alpha and preds to replace the current ones :D

OK so have double checked the armour again for world tier 5 and it is the following:

Gear Score 256 Gear Only:
8008 max native armour rolls
4158 max additional armour roll
1405 Max gear mod armour roll (lvl 34 @ 281 a pop)

50.89% Armour without mods in wt5
56.8% Max armour with mods in wt5

Now considering most people are probably sitting around 58-60% armour in wt4 just now that will be translated too:

Gear Score 229 Gear Only:
6449 max native Armour roll
3984 max additional armour roll
1345 max gear mod armour roll (lvl 33 @ 269 a pop)

54.1% Max armour without mods in wt4
61.1% Max armour with mods in wt4

WT5 Armour based on the max WT4 armour = 49.2%

Which is actually a not bad starting point!!

If you smacked on a 229 robust chest on your wt4 gear you would get:54.2% Armour in cover

Or if you put on a 229 sturdy holster and a robust chest you would get: 59.1% armour in cover

on wt4 gear :)

Something to bear in mind when prepping for 1.5 - may help with the initial farm if you don't want to jump right into survival or don't own the season pass

To kill anyone you need at least two of you shooting one person in the head/upper torso

I love getting group together and hunting rogues in the darkzone but my 4/2 nomad alpha build isnt really doing it

think my next will be a damage resistance build with buffs to shotguns and submachine guns

Nah when I got downed by the seeker mine I was quite far back from the other three guys and no one else shot me.

It was literally all seeker mine damage and nothing else.

Completed my first solo of WT4 Challenging Hudson Refugee Camp, it was the most fun I've had since launch (and I'm still playing daily). I really like this mission anyway, but the jump from Hard to Challenging with the extra enemies (especially the axe rushers) really enhances the experience.

The build I used is below, basically:

G36 with Unforgiving, Accurate and Self Preserved, 20% EAD
M60 with Meticulous, Predatory and Brutal, 18% OOC

2 x Alpha for 100% Health Regen
2 x Nomad for the 15% HOK
Enduring Mask (when in last segment continually refills health)
Relentless Chest (5% of skill damage as healing)

Skills:

Active Sensor Turret
Airburst Seeker Mine

I find they syndergise well with Relentless and with the constant healing I don't need to run any form of healing boost.

Critical Save, Strike Back, Tech Support and Chain Reaction talents. I'm thinking of dropping Critical save as I don't use medkits a lot either...but it may be that one time that saves me.

As you can see, I'm right into my self healing, but running solo all of the time I need to be. I also run recovery link which proc'd once during the mission.

Meticulous and Predatory were the keys to getting it done...I pretty well had Predatory up the entire mission. I'd cut through the armour with the G36 and then swap to the M60. I hope I can replicate this build for 1.5, it's my favourite so far.
