Kind of ironic that that you would agree.

Twirly,Fear, and yourself play together, all we need now is Gamble to speak against my post and it is deemed fact.

If you guys deem randoms below you - Do not ask them to join your group through Matchmaking - Simple.

There are people who still regard this as a game, and play it as a game for fun.

I'll play with anyone, and wouldn't kick them for what i deem 'below me'

Having been kicked many times for not having a top end GS I feel your frustration. Likewise now my GS is a bit better I feel sorry for the lower GS guys that get kicked from the mm group.

Personally I like to try and help out the lower GS guys, we've all been there trying to get the better kit. It doesn't bother me if a sub 200 guy wants to join.

I'll offer advice but never dictate what they should be running. If they completely ignore any advice and play like a complete donut that keeps wrecking the mission then that's another matter.

Edit: I know we're not specifically talking about GS but it's definitely a form of elitism that goes on within mm.

Elitism.

Now, i can take advise, and learn from advise, there is no better way to learn.

But after 700 hours and lvl max in UG/DZ/Game, then i would consider myself pretty well versed as to how the game works.

I joined a random instance of FL Heroic today, and was slightly surprised that Mario and Twirlywoos made up 2 of the 4 party members.

Ahh good, atleast 2 of these will know the basics. We'll be able to mash it up and be home in time for breakfast.

Mario is always a pleasure to play with .

But, then comes the interrogation from Twirly.

" 'What class are you?', 'what skill level are you?', blah............

Change this, change that, make sure you put the ammo station in the roof exactly as i posted on OcUK ? "

No surprise that the other guy left, and i followed .

If you consider yourself 'above' randoms, then don't invite them to join.

If you wonder why the player base is shrinking, then look at yourself.

( I completed FL Heroic on my next roll of randoms about 10 mins later, so i still don't understand your need to surround yourself in perfectly equipped players. Unless you need carrying )

You are full of ****

My "interrogation" is to

Qualify players so that I know that the potentially next 30 mins I am going to spend gaming with someone who I have never met before means that we all complete the mission successfully and get rewarded for it.

Also if you wind your neck in for a minute go and ask Mario if I re-logged in with my support build alt just so that there was a Skillpower build in the group? He will tell you that I did because from the randoms who joined there was nobody running skillpower.

After I complete heroic missions I always get FR's from those I gamed with because at the speed or how easy the Incursion went. So if you think that I really care that a random who never replied to my questions left the group at the start then I couldn't care less, good riddance to him and yourself.

I've always been helping people out in this game whether it is completing the difficult missions, speed leveling, speed runs or gearing them up. Go and ask the Ascendance clan, Reddit Division members and lately Konvict Gaming clan.

I have no idea in what point did I say or meant randoms are below me, everything I said was to push forward one concept, people who can play together as a group should stay together, if one can't then they're more than welcome to leave.

And btw, we have no choice as to who's joining us in matchmake, it is determined by the mm system.

Speaking for myself, I always advice people for the better chance of completing the purpose of the mm. If you think that is wrong, then I could only say I don't have all day to do one single FL.

In other point of view, why a random who does not listen to anyone's advice be matchmaking for a incursion which clearly demands teamplay? And if said player does not function as part of a group, why should he/she stay in the group?

So, how did you gain any understanding of my knowledge of the game ?

Did you even ask if i had run it before ?

You simply told me, and the other guy, to change to kit to you wanted .

You clicked Matchmake - that pairs you with randoms.

Not 'fodder' that you just discard because it might make you next round abit tricky.

If you cannot adapt, to accomodate lesser skilled players, then perhaps you shouldn't step outside your comfort zone and stick to surrounding yourself with high skilled players and continue the perpetual back patting of how great you are.

After 700 hours in this game, it's become clear who the OcUK guys are who still treat this as a game and are fun to play alongside.

Then, there are people like you.

Stay in your circle jerk world of micro percentages of weapons and gear.

But remember, you pressed Matchmake , you invited.

I still play for fun, but I don't think it is fun to waste hours on a single incursion via MM without asking questions about what gear they are running.

2/3 attempts is my max before it is obvious we aren't getting anywhere

I have been on both sides also as I have been kicked for being too low a GS or other people not deeming me suitable for a run. Which is why I will always try.

Anyway, nice to see that they are fixing current gloves so the people who have no major attributes might still be able to use them :)

Makes me wonder how they couldn't do it with the old SMG's though

Come on guys.. I think we've all been on both sides of the frustration of trying to find a good group.

No need to get personal with each other.

Wasn't it during their "generous" phase of not wanting to nerf and just raise everything else up to the aug/vector? I can't remember.

Maybe raising everything up to g36 was going to make everything else underused.

Maybe yeah, cant remember to be honest. I think they lowered the new ones in crit chance but replaced to crit damage.

I may be wrong though!!

I kinda see where they're coming from. They want to encourage different types of build rather than SMG's ruling every build or a specific AR.

Still 15% isn't too bad.

Not frustration, i just don't like the double standards of certain players.

I'm maxed on UG / DZ / Game etc..nothing left to gain.

What i find grinding, are the posts that offer to help and say ' Yeh it's still a great game' and ' We'll help you level up ' - But the caveat is only if it suits them.

I've seen Gamble organise ,and put himself out, on numerous occasions, to help run newbies through excursions, and that is applauded.

How many times have the other members of the clique offered the same ?

Twirly, Def, Fear ?......................

Admit it or not, there is an elitist tier within the OcUK players.

Not something i would ever want to be part of.

Honestly Ive not played much with ocuk guys, mainly because online times differ or already in groups.

Randomly ended up in a dz group with a few a couple of times and (naming no names) only had 1 experience of blatantly not wanting to be played with once everyone else left.

Slightly annoying but didn't take it too personally as wasn't on the same sort of load out at that time.

Slightly related, I did find it slightly sad that was it skill up who had the weekend of helping out noobs?

That made me a little sad that the community wasn't already doing things to help others gear up or compete missions rather than just concentrating on the race to end game gear (not saying that's an issue with ocuk, more with the community as a whole).

For me, I tend to run heroic stuff a lot because I love the challenge and risk!! There have been countless times I have been wiped with my 700k toughness tank gear on and thought wow, well done lol

Also for the gear as well! I literally spend hours tinkering, rolling, rerolling, putting different combinations together, test and repeat, tweak...run out of money, get some, tweak again lol! It is by far, my favourite aspect of this game!!! That's why I like sharing screenshots of them as its an achievement for me to get this stuff..I would share details but if people don't ask I assume they don't care haha!

I love the fact that in the UG, we reach an area that we have seen before, go to play it the same way, then an npc pops out of somewhere I never knew existed.

So elitist for me - I hope not as I will gladly run missions/hm/cm incusions as I enjoy them so much!

The only negative comments I have made about hard mode is the UG as it bores me after a few runs, but I feel the same with heroic stuff as well, few runs and I want to do something different, 30/45 minutes later and I am good to go on the old activity again.

Except dragons nest.....I like the first part, and the last part, but hate the middle part so much! Wont stop me from trying on heroic though, nice sense of accomplishment :)

Only reason I am posting and explaining this is because I know others are just like me, but maybe it came across in the wrong way.

And I know what you are talking about Brizzles in terms of offers for help - it was the Challenge Mode Clear Sky weekend where we literally rotated people throughout the evening getting until exhaustion. Def and F34R were with me that night, and we rotated the fourth.

That reminds me - Ade - I still owe you that :P You joined at the peak of my exhaustion with it and I jut couldn't focus any longer.

It's a shame they went ahead with the g36 nerf. I suppose it was inevitable.though. It will be interesting to see how badly my dps is affected, especially having already dropped 20k after changing some weapon talents.

I agreed with the SMG as I was sing the BoO Aug for months and never wanted to leave it.

Since they nerfed it I have tried shotguns, LMG, AR and I must admit - if you get a good LMG - it is bloody fantastic!!!

I used it in FL when I ran out of ammo once and was surprised. Quite stable, nice mag size, good crits and the out of cover bonus is also good.

So for me personally, I have explored new options with the SMG nerf, and Im glad I did.

15% for me equates to just over 2k damage decrease which overall, will bring me down to 11.7k for the g36 which isn't too bad. I have an LVOA-C with 13.7k damage which I haven't modded so I have some options after tomorrow at least!

I am more than happy playing with anyone and never found anyone to be elitist. I suck as well but play because it is fun, which also reminds me, I need to get back into this. If anybody wants to hold my hand round the incursions UG, cheers :D
