Yes but you can also do DZ Landmarks, Contamination Events and supply drops. You could just cut ropes of course, easy loot

I think ill need to build my gear before I "cut the rope". Looking forward to getting back into it. Keep me occupied again till destiny gets released.
1.8 is currently in Public Test Server (PTS) and will be for a couple of weeks. No release date yet. It's generally looking good.
Loot can be obtained anywhere doing anything. Just clearing the named bosses in the open world, if you clear them all and run between each one should get you around 65 pieces of loot. Most of it will be trash but you can sell it for credits, you'll get a bit of Phoenix credit from the bosses and you will get a few gear set items. Of course, incursions and challenge missions still give loot too.

Right then lads, as someone who hasnt touched this game since that Survivor DLC (never bothered with it, i have Season Pass but this DLC never interested me) whats changed and whats changing? had a brief skim over this thread and see theres a new 1.8 patch coming.
As someone that primarily only ever played PVE, i never really got into the PVP bit as you needed a good dedicated team it seemed to have any chance, is it worth firing this back up again? How active is the game now? am i likely to be sat around ages waiting to get in a group for missions and stuff?
Did they ever add anymore raids? is there a new 2nd season - season pass?
To be fair i really really liked the underground stuff, it liked the randomised nature of it, even though the tilesets were repeated heavily etc i just liked the fact it would be mostly different most times you played it through.
Is there a decent website anywhere i can go to now to find out the a good build for PVE, and even PVP? did they add an option to switch between builds easily at all? something i felt this game could do with personally.
Overall i loved the game and the graphics and the setting, just felt it was badly weighted towards mindless grinding, although they did fix a lot of that, i just fell out of interest mainly due to not really knowing too many people to hang out with, as it definitely felt like a game played better in a team.

Dunno if something is broken or just normal as I've not used a shotgun before this GE - but quite often one shotting elites on challenging at 0m lol.
Can't seem to find any decent teams to play with though or anyone when I want to team but get spammed with invites when I'm just setting stuff up, etc. :s

What a day: 13 hours basically straight..lol
-Tier 3 leaderboard so far so will be grinding more to make sure we stay in the tier for the extra loot next week- rank 63 currently
-Sentry finished, reclaimer 1 piece away and striker 1 piece away - got about 5 duplicates of each piece though to chose from lol
-19/20 commendations for assault completed
-All masks unlocked from the flawless runs on major assault and no healing skills
Going to farm a bit more and see if I can finish the other two sets off then the rest of the week will just be min maxxing them and climbing the leaderboards and testing in PVP!
I prob wont use the sets much but still want them
season 3 and 4 will be the big ones for sets I want

Getting really bored of dying due to the movement change - especially as the GE encourages getting in close and lots of quick movement 
half the time its like trying to steer a boat with the inertia.
Really would not have bought the game if it had been like this from the start - silly **** like this is why I barely play or buy any games any more.

weirdly enough, we found that the movement speed / camera roll had gotten better since today as did many others on the main division discord. They modified reclaimer/sentry/striker slightly server side including text descriptions without server patch so they may have changed movement speed as well/camera speed as well.
Don't know if it was servers but will need to do last stand or some PVP to properly test.
