*** The Division Thread 2.0 ***

It gets tougher as you go higher up right? I don't think I've spent much time in DZ07 and above.

They are super fun! The devs put some wonderful effort into the designs. Easy to solo as well.

@GAM8LE on discord you posted the sets per GE, would you mind reposting them here? Things tend to get lost quickly on there.

2600 div now, want to do a run tomorrow evening, anyone wanting to do the same just jump in my game :)

There's a new type of encrypted cache on the PTS, what does it give you? I have no keys.

Season 2 Vanity and emotes for the other encrypted cache.

Season 3:
Nomad
D3
AB
Banshee

Season 4:
Firecrest
Hunters Faith
Predators Mark
Tacticians

In regards to where we get new exotics from its all the same places unfortunately - they aren't weighted towards any mission type.

So exotic caches/weekly caches/top tier DZ leaderboard/middle tier DZ leaderboard/Superior caches via GE/Field prof caches/LS caches/Survival caches etc.

Highest rating - exotic, weekly, top tier DZ leaderboard, middle tier DZ leaderboard and Superiour caches via GE.

In addition, we can get them from manhunt rewards, manhunt killer rewards, resistance caches which go guaranteed near the top ranks etc. But its a chance at all exotics.

Will check closer to go live as well and see if anything changes

Just ran Lex-challenging with Big Al and a fully optimised Nomad 6 piece...wow, it is a set that suits my playstyle perfectly. I ran it with Recovery Link, which proc'd once on the roof but otherwise the HoK and Predatory from Big Al kept my health up and in good shape.

Big Al took down the heavies in less than an extended mag. Still had to play careful and use cover (as I always do) but there wasn't the impending feeling of doom on the roof when they start to crowd toward the starting hut area.

It will take a while I suspect in the live game to get the set I have now, with the rolls and talents I want (it took 40 caches and over 2000 D-Tech to get the right combinations) but at least I will have something to aim for come live!

I ran a fairly even build as I usually do - 5224 FA (267k), 6264 STA (524,480 Toughness) and 4384 Elec (131k skillpower). I had 38% DtoE, 25% HoK and 22% EAD.

I've read on the Ubi forums where some DZ-gankers are crying about this set being too OP, but none of the enemies I faced today complained. I hope they leave this set alone.

Cheers,

Nomad will be changed for sure. Going back to the 1.1 days and then try to imagine everyone running nomad in the future :o

Yes, I remember when Nomad first came out and everyone said it was junk!

I'm prepared for disappointment but I will be disappointed when/if they nerf it. Finally a set I can use for most activities - admittedly optimised - and it's still going to take me months/years to get it the way I have it now - but at least it would be something to aim for.

Just ran Russian Consulate without a wipe using the set - came close a few times but at least I felt I could do it.

Cheers,

Only bought this game a week or so ago and so am low level and doing a lot of PvE. Have found that multiple times a session when wandering around I get attacked by invisible enemies. My solution is to drop a turret and retreat and within 4-5 seconds the enemies appear and the game continues like normal. I see this has been reported numerous times already on various forums but I it's a PITA happening so often. Once or twice a week is borderline tolerable but several times over a couple of hours??

Nomad is great and I really like it. Hopefully they don't change it and let us have some good fun (for a while at least) and the same thing with the defence gear. Really enjoyed the PTS and hopefully those 2 sets get left alone :D

They will change nomad I think. Its ridiculous in PVP but...they know how to make modifiers in PVP now based on banshee so maybe reduce it for PVE only.

Played 71 hours so far from the start of the free weekend and not seen that once - might be a shader cache issue or slow drive loading or something. I've had a few instances where enemy just suddenly appear (probably due to server lag or something) right on top of me and instantly attack but none that are invisible when attacking.

Might also be something like a firewall or anti-virus interfering as the game depends on streaming resources and online connectivity - I've seen it before where AV will quarantine a stream loaded file for a few seconds while checking it resulting in invisible or corrupt textures or models in a game.

I played the free weekend of this game and enjoyed it quite a lot. One thing putting me off a purchase is the grind. Roughly how long will it take to grind a decent set of gear out once I hit max level? Also, do enemies continue to remain bullet sponges or does that change later in the game? Thanks.

Enemy and bullet sponging depends a lot on what you do really and difficulty settings - the normal enemy hanging around on the streets even at higher world tiers go down pretty easy after level 30 but some missions and specific named enemy, etc. you need a lot of bullets to take them down :s then there is incursions, etc. but they are intended for multiple players.

Its pretty much pure grind from my experience once you hit level 30.

On PTS for now. Is there any way to block all invites in game? This ruskie keeps trying to add me, last Russian person I had was the one who hacked me, whoever he was.

Ok fair enough. Is the upcoming patch a big change, would it be worth buying the game then?

Pretty big yeah when considering all the current stuff in the game.

In terms of bullet sponge, once you hit world tier 5 and get good gear, depending on how you build you can take down elites and heavies in less than a single magazine. Depends on stat rolls and gearset choice. :) Solo ofc, group is a bit different due to the scaling, as well as incursions and legendaries.

Been having fun with 4pc banshee and 3pc Preds...oh my the damage :D

8% bonus from 3pc Preds
+ 10% against rogues
...if you get killed, you get another 20% against rogues for 10 mins...it's really dirty but works soooooo well!!!

They should have differentiatie between PvP and PvE from the start (Nomad etc.), it will benefit everyone I think. Just like the adept nerf; it's unnecessary imo.

What's a good two piece for running HF before classies come out? I can't decide.

None tbh. 3HF and 2 banshee would be good for the multiplicative OOC damage. Other options aren't too good like sentry/DE etc.

But they will probably release

The adept nerf was unnecessary for PVP and PVE. Took max haste and a specific build, pity devs listen to crybabies who cant farm because of their 7 wives, 50 kids and can only play once a leapyear  or rambos who cry because they cant 1vthe server lol

Adept will be the least of our worries in 1.8 PVP haha
