Cheers fellas, will have a look in to the above advice and build appropriately.
Quite a few of my pieces have already been rolled, so will have to search for (better ones) and go from there.
Think I put electronics on the mask as it was down to like 12-13k without it.
Also, I need to pick up some better mods, have a few decent ones, but can always improve.

As you guys have said, I was used to having tons of toughness, so just need to adapt my way of playing a little more.
My m1a is finally giving off some decent damage, especially if someone has a strong pulse!

Question, what's the major difference of pulse and smart cover for giving out damage?

Pulse gives out an extra 100% crit damage as well as 40% crit chance, which dependa on your existing crit stat should give as extra 100% dps.

Smart cover buffs the dps by 50% but also reduce your damage intake by 75%.

Instead of replacing everything, focus on mask and pack with SP, and then with the new SP mask, roll to firearms and nothing else really needs toughed.

Pulse relates to buffing your existing CHD and CHC, but not the damage output of the weapon.

SC - buffs the DMG of the weapon itself by 50% fully capped as Def said, but doesn't buff chc or chd.
 
is there a website or calculator which can calculate damage with all things taken into account like Booster Shot / Pulse / Smart Cover?

Clipsey - one thing I dont think anyones mentioned in the advice so far - always roll armour on chest & holster, I noticed you had no armour on the holster & afaik there is nothing else worth rolling unless your going for an unusual build (i.e pistol& shield), whereas the backpack should be crit damage or skillpower as others have said, & not armour like you have atm, its still very important to keep your armour at 5354 (75%).

Question....how on earth can you tell all that from the pic?
I see it as (finally learned you can tell what pieces of equipment you have with the images behind). Then health symbol or FA or Elec will show up....but how can you tell armor is rolled or not?
....I thought rolling armor meant stamina over firearms or Skill? ......../noob

Just from the values, chests with armour as a major are normally always about 1600/1700 and holsters are normally over 1000. :)
