The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

So you overpower yourself then complain it's too easy? Okay then. :p

Not so much overpower, but clocked up 680 hours total time acc to steam and only on 2nd playthrough. Not cheated at all, but it also became tedious obliterating everything that moved with one punch lol...

Moved onto sleeping dogs for a bit and then gonna go back when dragonborn eventually comes out.

Hard to believe that it was this time last year everyone was getting excited about the release of the game!

Hah, it does seem amazing it's a year already. Friend tried to persuade me to play it and I really, REALLY wasn't interested, having never taken interest in RPG's. Then I tried it. Oh man did I get hooked, played it for 3 months solid from november through february, like a man possessed. Did every side quest, most of which were before I completed the main quest, got all the daedric armour and millions of coins I wanted, read lots of books, did lots of enchantments, smithing, built my character to the point that the combat challenge became too easy. It really is an incredible game, just packed to the brim with fun things to do, there was never a dull moment. I won't be playing any add-ons but I look back fondly at Skyrim and can honestly say it's the best gaming experience I've had bar none and will remain my favourite game of all time.

Grab SkyRE or 'Skyrim Redone' and whack it on Master, your tune will change. :p

Reinstalled the game today after not playing it since shortly after it released. I've spent so much time finding mods i like then sorting them out i don't know whether i can be bothered playing it this evening. So many mods available now

Check out our first video of The Elder Scrolls Online—a documentary-style introduction to the game, presented by members of The Elder Scrolls Online Development Team. This video covers the basics of ESO, including a first look at the game's Elder Scrolls-style combat system, massive PvP battles, Megaserver technology, exploration-based content, and much more.

This video is the first in a series of regular content and video updates on ElderScrollsOnline.com. Check the site regularly for more!

Hmmmmm getting intersting, one megaserver ala EvE sounds intersting, 3 faction GW2 style PvP, interesting.

I'm more interested now than I was 2 months ago that's for certain.

Going to restart this game with DG DLC.

2 quesiotns/.

1. Which class to go last time I went imperial. I think maybe Nord would be better but i dont know? i went dark elf in Oblivion.

2. Vampire or werewolf is choice for dawnguard? which is best? Or u just chose to kill vampires or side with them? What if I go werewolf from quest from comapsions does that have any effect on this?

Nords are resistant to cold damage, so frost dragons are a sinch to beat. I'm a nord, and I believe it's the most popular choice of race in the game.

Try Dawnguard. Vampire Lord is fun for about 5 mins but gets very repetitive after that.

I have just got into Skyrim and finding it a brilliant game, but I have a slight problem.
I have downloaded the Official texture pack DLC but when I run the game with 01 it all seems Ok, when I run 02 I loose a lot of detail ( ie Lydias' armour all turns pale lilac this also happens to the floors)
I have the 4gb RAM required, a GT140 video card, i was wondering if this was good enough.

I have played in vanilla and all seems OK and quite happy to keep on doing so, but wondered if I was missing something in 02? I have no MODS installed yet, looking for a good idiots guide to installing.

Looks like it could be the next WoW. Nothing has touched that at all, but the clout this studio brings, and the lore behind behind all the elder scroll games could make it quite special.
