The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

If you start as a wizard, at the beginning of the game, your going to be using swords etc and wearing the best armour you can find, ie heavy armour.

Do you just have to wait untill you find some good wizard armour and then switch to full time wizard or can a wizard also wear heavy armour?

I hope there are enough skill points for me in this game, atm I have decided to upgrade Destruction, one-handed, sneak, light armour, shield(or blocking is it?) and archery.

I always end up in these games having a character who has a bit of everything. Level 5 and i haven't put more than one point in to a single category. I am alternating between Bow/sword and shield and Bow/Sword and spell.

Theres a mage robe and hat behind the first lock you come across

You can still cast spells in heavy armor, but robes give +50% magicka regeneration and also cheaper spell costs later on

I've put perks in one-handed, enchanting, blacksmithing, restoration, destruction and illusion.

Restoration is a must. Heal and gain xp at same time.

Does anyone remember how soul gems work? A filled soul gem charges up a depleted enchanted weapon but I can't remeber how you fill an empty gem.

You know, I never used to complain about ATI / AMD drivers and always defend them, but in this case, lets just say that I am happy that I have Nvidia cards atm :p

Soul trap.

Im not having a problem. Its crossfire thats having the issue, if its not an isolated case.

On the flip side Nvidia users from what I have seen are having more issues with BF3 than ATI.

But isnt that the beauty of a good game? You cant max out every skill and plough through the game. It gives replayability.

I am, as i posted earlier i get constant 60 fps half of the time, but it drops to 20 sometimes! During the first fight with the dragon i got constant 60fps with everything going on and loads happening, i then returned to the town and i was getting 20fps! There weren't even any NPC's on the screen.

Yes it is, but i would like to be able to improve those 5 skills enough. I have only picked 5 out of the lots(can't remember how many) that there are. It would not be good if you could max everything, but I do like to get almost all skills to an acceptable level, though i am not too bothered about enchanting/crafting and i will only concentrate on one or two magic specializations.

So far I have gone for one-handed, heavy armour and archery. I am finding the game guide very useful for giving an overview on the skill tree.

Wards are Restoration :)

You should pich two perks in restoration after destruction is ok - Novice Restoration and +25% magicka regeneration.

Has anyone found any decent swords/armour? im a warrior type. im wondering if i should ignore main quest and go dungeon crawling to try and get some.
