The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

Lol, hope there is more improvements than God rays, most people turned them off in Fallout 4.
Where did you find this poll? I highly doubt a significant percent of people turned them off. Turned them down a bit maybe(super performance hog at the higher settings).

And did you watch the video? They clearly updated a lot more than just that.

Still wont be as good as well-modded Skyrim on a decent PC, but it's still nice to have for those who dont like to bother with modding or play on consoles.

Surely this means there will be no sequel to Skyrim?
There probably wont be a Skyrim 2, no.

But there will definitely be an Elder Scrolls VI.

they wont do another skyrim until they think the online skyrim gets anywhere. prsonally that isnt going to work unless its totally ftp.

even then its not going to be like " proper skyrim " :D

After the success of Skyrim, I think they've got potentially the largest boots in the entire history of video games to fill when it comes to ES6. I wouldn't like to be on the team responsible for creating it.

They've managed it with Morrowind and Oblivion!

The market is a lot bigger now, I remember back at school me and my friend were the only ones that knew of ES and Morrowind, now everyone has Skyrim in their steam library.

But, I'd rather them put effort into a new game rather than remastering a game that already has re-playability. :(

LOL aside from slightly less insane foliage the remastered version looks like my modded version :S

yes but without the hassle of installing a million mods like we was on about the other day ;)

so click and play how we want it but with no need to worry about which mod conflicts with each other and for free. :D

^^ Was just funny how out of all the possible combinations there was quite a strong similarity in style to what I ended up with (which isn't based on the more common guides, etc.).

They managed to make a good sequel but not the best. I'm sure most people will agree that Skyrim was dumbed down in some areas and not as great as it's predecessors in some respects.

The default UI is terrible for PC, and maybe most of my issues come from me progressing towards immersion over the years.Especially the move from quest journal to map markers was my biggest gripe.

Although I think it ended up acting like a fine wine. Got better as time went on. It still hasn't stopped me from pumping 350+ hours into it.

To be fair, the combat has been crap - but pretty much any standards - in all the Elder Scrolls games. They make up for this in many other ways, but if an Elder Scrolls game were to be released with even passable combat, the gaming world would blow apart! I think we can handle more than block, hit and big hit.

I resisted skyui, etc. for a long time but it does make the game so much less clunky - even if the quick binds need to be redone periodically as you progress and get new stuff, etc. completely transforms combat.

With SkyUI and quick slots setup and rebound to useful keys you can pretty much play it like an FPS game and it is far less unsatisfying than the style you are "supposed" to play it.

'block, hit and big hit.'

So ****ing true lmfao

Try play like that as a mage. :p

Wasn't hating, I've played Skyrim as archer, warrior, mage and rogue type characters.

He just summed the entire combat system up for most people though, as I'd imagine most are melee fighters when they play. It literally is block, hit and big hit and just reading that out loud nearly killed me. Idk why I found it so funny. :D
