The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

Wasn't hating, I've played Skyrim as archer, warrior, mage and rogue type characters.

He just summed the entire combat system up for most people though, as I'd imagine most are melee fighters when they play. It literally is block, hit and big hit and just reading that out loud nearly killed me. Idk why I found it so funny. :D

With SkyUI properly setup you can actually play other classes properly - no slowdowns or pauses in combat to switch powers, etc. as you can dynamically switch the loadouts on your left/right hand on the fly making it easy to pop off wards and switch to offensive ranged powers, etc. it is so much more enjoyable.

Already messed with that, have you tried the autocasting mod too? Pretty amazing.

Its been a couple of years since i last played Skyrim and i read somewhere that ENB's aren't compatible with Windows 10. Is this true and if so is there anything that can be done?

Thanks

There were issues with the latest ENB release (305) not working as Boris doesn't support it on W10.

Last page has some fixes that were found by other users by installing an old Dx9 package to get it working (see my red/white screenshot haha)... I've not tried the older ENB releases with older ENB's as I don't want to break it again. :p

Neil have you tried COT with project ENB latley?

Just doing a new install on a new rig an noticed COT is at version 5 and they are not doing the weather patch anymore.. so guessing project ENB wont work with COT version 5

Cot work fine with enb.just be careful when using it with realistic lighting as the conflict with certain option.

Just thinking about returning to Skyrim so set up enBoost and skse etc as per days of old. Then noticed there is a 64bit update on the way. Tempted to hold off for its release....

still think you can mod this to look better than the special edition that's coming.

Mate you must be a newcomer. its quite easy to beat SE from the looks of it. the only somewhat plus point of SE is that it might be more stable with a 64 bit executable but that causes legacy issues with skse hence why im not gonna jump ship that quickly

Well it'll almost certainly be DX11 too and it seems likely they're basing it on the FO4 engine. So maybe we'll get an increased polygon count and more draw calls than DX9 allows so mods that really slow everything down adding extra clutter to cities and whatnot will perform better, but who knows eh? The lack of SKSE is a real problem and its likely there will be no SkyUI, at least until if and when someone takes the project on as the author seems to have had enough of it (and I can't say I blame him honestly) it requires extensive use of SKSE to function too.

I've put many many hours and a ridiculous amount of effort into modding Skyrim, mostly on the visuals side.

I'm really happy with the results and have even started actually playing the game , shock horror, as I never got that far into the quest (due to fannying around with mods), and I have the DLC to do.

I'm sort of worried that the update might totally bork my modded Skyrim! Will I have to manually disable updates in steam for the game? I'll be so annoyed if it stealth updates and wrecks everything.

A pic of skyrim on my modest laptop.

Can anyone offer any advice on picking an ENB? I'm running a 980 @ 1440p and with all my texture mods installed i get a pretty steady 60fps but when I install RealVision i struggle to keep it above 40fps and thats on the Medium install settings with DOF disabled.
