Riften City Grass Remover - FPS fix

or

No grass in Cities

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/18768?tab=description

Personal preference here, but this will really help with frame rates as it stops grass from loading outside the Town you are in. The game renders a lot of grass outside Riften when you're in Riften itself, which isn't needed. Yes you'll still see all the grass when you actually leave the town itself :D

Any recommendations for a map/mod to original map that doesn't show player location for Skyrim SE?

I have found mods that disable your location icon for the original map, and the Paper map mod also has the option to do this , but both these options still center the camera to your location when you open the map, so you can guess roughly where you are still.

Guys need some help.

The skyrim mod bug got me again and I installed Skyrim from scratch on steam.

I followed Neil's tutorial up until stage 11 and when i play the game I get a weird buzzing around water and sound cut outs which i think are linked to FPS..

I run my main monitor at 144hz and have the refresh rate unlocker installed as per Neil's post and I limit my fps to 141 in the nv control panel.

any ideas? I tried turning of riva tuner, setting pre set interval to 1 in INI files... etc

I never modded this because it always ended up breaking. I never understood when using so many mods if you were supposed to overwrite certain meshes because there was always conflicts.

I've had to uninstall Skyrim, not because I was bored of it, but because it was taking up so much space (modded) I ran out for games such as Call of Duty Warzone :p

If you fancy giving it a shot, I highly recommend Mod Organizer. There is no overwriting. Mods all install into their own individual directory, and you end up with a virtual image of the completed mod list\build. You can then re-arrange the mods within mod organizer to allow meshes and textures you prefer to "win out" over other mods. This is great for getting things working together, and reducing CTD.

Or if you want a one shot solution, you could look up Wabbajack, it automates the process for the most part and installs some very impressive mod lists.

I'm still annoyed my INI settings got reset when I put a new GPU in without having the latest version backed up :( I'd managed to get perfect settings for rendering proper detail trees in density to the horizon, high level of active grids without crashes or mission bugs and without odd rendering issues on distant mountains, etc. :( and now I can't replicate them.
