The Emirates FA Cup 4th Round Proper ** Spoilers ** [22nd - 26th Jan 2021]

Liverpool fans are such massive drama queens. You will easily get top 4. You haven't been able to buy a goal for games, have been missing one of the best defenders in the world all season and you are in 4th place, 6 points off top.

The way you lot are whinging you would think you were mid-table.

We’ve experienced numerous times where we’ve failed to capitalise on success and push on or maintain.

That's a massive gamble. They must realise a failure to get top 4 not only means lost revenue but potentially losing some of our best players which makes getting back in to the top 4 even harder.

Of course it's a gamble, part of me thinks even going for Sokratis (ex-Arsenal) is worth a punt. I imagine FSG are terrified of revenue due to COVID so don't want to spend, plus we'll have to pay through the nose for people now as our plight is well known.

Weird game. There's been bits and pieces of nice play coupled with the intensity of a training session, particularly from a defensive point of view. At our best we're great at regrouping and stopping counter attacks but today we don't seem to be arsed about it. Both fullbacks are pushing on together and our midfield which usually covers them are playing higher up the pitch, leaving our CB's totally exposed. Everytime we've lost the ball it's just been one pass into Rashford or Greenwood and they're 1 on 1 with our CB and Williams loves committing into challenges he can't win.

It's been interesting at least.

I must say I've thought Nat Phillips has been okay when called on, experienced and no slower than Williams. Thought we'd have started him tbh.

Presumably it’s because Rhys should be more comfortable on the ball, definitely cannot be pace or defending ability

The worry for United is all at the back. Maguire has been poor. He's just not mobile enough at this level and he's played the midfield into trouble on several occasions. Not to mention the debacle for the Liverpool goal. Game is finely balanced so subs could be important.
