I think Williams is only in the team because of his height and aerial ability, still I'd have Phillips over him any day.

I just hope that the defensive issues that we have and reluctance to buy a replacement dont cause us to rush VVD back before he is ready and cause him more damage.

I don't honestly think you can be slow in defence in this day and age and be considered a good defender. You are always going to be asked to chase back, make up for mistakes and match strikers on their runs. Top defenders can get away with it most of the time but "most of the time" isn't good enough.

I think Williams starts as he's better on the ball... Which is all very well, but if you keep missing basic clearances it's a bit pointless
