I think it's clear FSG are hoping to get by with what we have. Maybe in the summer we'll make a move for Upamecano or someone but it certainly feels like this is an experiment with fingers crossed we can achieve a modicum of success (top 4).

That's a massive gamble. They must realise a failure to get top 4 not only means lost revenue but potentially losing some of our best players which makes getting back in to the top 4 even harder.

Owners aren’t interested apparently. Or more likely, there isn’t a target available within budget.

In my uneducated opinion I would just loan someone rapid until the end of the season. Slow CBs just don’t work in Klopp’s system. Even made of crisps Matip is quicker than Phillips and Williams.
 
Liverpool fans are such massive drama queens. You will easily get top 4. You haven't been able to buy a goal for games, have been missing one of the best defenders in the world all season and you are in 4th place, 6 points off top.

The way you lot are whinging you would think you were mid-table.
 
United have got loads of pace now, complete contrast to a few years ago when they had cloggers like Fellaini, Rooney, Mata etc.
