Amazing what a competent manager can do to turn around a teams fortunes, wonder if the United board wish they went for Plymouths boss instead.
They still might yet, they don’t make sense Amorim may not lastAmazing what a competent manager can do to turn around a teams fortunes, wonder if the United board wish they went for Plymouths boss instead.
For another 2 hours at least. And Spurs are still in the cup, so Ange could get his 2nd season trophy yet![]()
85 grand a week allegedly, contract expires in 2027, cant see that getting renewed.Gomez was done ages ago as a first team regular but he is handy utility player when fit as he does generally play well it’s just when fit
Assuming his wages are cheap which is why he is still with us if he was a high earner and his injury record we would have sold him long ago
And he is 28 this year, heading toward the latter part of his career and not even 150 career league games yet (in 10 years at Liverpool)
He's had 4 major injuries and surprisingly, very little else. In fact I've just checked and since his 2nd knee injury in 2020, he's only had 3 fairly minor injuries since then.Aye, unfortunately the blokes body just can't handle it anymore- those 2 nasty injuries he had look to have messed him. Shame really
I think its more the 2 serious knee injuries he's has (different knees from what I remember as well), although I think he has some serious issues with his ankle and achillies didn't he?He's had 4 major injuries and surprisingly, very little else. He didn't seem right from the kick-off today though. There was one ball down our left that he just allowed the Plymouth forward to run on to, without putting in a sprint and that was a good 4-5 minutes before he came off.
He done his ACL in one knee, then had an ankle injury that ended up needing surgery, then broke his leg, then done his tendon in his other knee. I'm no doctor and maybe one (or more) of those injuries increased the likelihood of him picking up one of the others but I don't see him as injury prone in the way Keita was, picking up little muscle injuries every month. He's had 4 massive, different injuries and then not much more than your average player has.I think its more the 2 serious knee injuries he's has (different knees from what I remember as well), although I think he has some serious issues with his ankle and achillies didn't he?
