The Emirates FA Cup Quarter Finals ** Spoilers ** [20th - 21st March 2021]

You cant ALWAYS blame the manager for players regressing. Some of it has to be on the player as well. Some of Uniteds players have improved but the ones you are suggesting havent...have they just hit their ceiling?

If they give Ole a new contract then that's ridiculous. Hilarious dont get me wrong but that's just bonkers. Why on earth would they do that?
Of course you can’t, and Utd is full of players that are iffy - Martial I’m looking at you.
But, a top manager can get the best out of a player that isn’t firing on all cylinders, a top manager can inspire.
Greenwood, as an example, has masses of potential but is part of an impotent, non-progressive team, so he’s not going to push beyond those around him without significant coaching and Bruno can’t do everything, every game. I feel sorry for the guy, when he’s working his arse off and has to work with Ole’s team selection of Matic and Fred who themselves have to protect the oil tanker which is Maguire.
I can imagine that Ole would be gone by now if we’d had fans in the stadium.

Whilst United have spent poorly you have to look at where City were when that money was spent. Without looking I imagine they were champions or there abouts?
Sure, but with the exception of Kyle Walker and Aguero neither of whom are playing as much now they've more or less refreshed their entire team in that time. KDB may also have joined just before that window, but it's not like they've been able to rest on their laurels

A top manager builds a style of play and tactics that get the best out of the players he has. Plenty of managers are rigid with how they want to play and if they don't have the players, they will try and sign them and just muddle through in the mean time. Our issue is that I don't even know what we need tactically because we seem to have such little style to our play beyond "hit them on the counter" and "hope we string a few quality moments together to get a goal".

We don't press teams as a unit, we don't defend well as a unit, we aren't a classic counter attacking team in the way we try to setup defensively, we don't play lots of little triangles, we don't play with loads of pace and width. When people talk about "what United need", its always along the lines of. We don't have a top class RW, we don't have a top class DM or CB pairing. Its never related to tactics or anything more than trying to improve the squad on a basic quality level.

These are all red flags that your manager isn't doing a good job.
