No, merely that if we can sort out these **** ups we should be winning these matches instead of losing them. As you say, part of your quality as a side is in taking chances, not dropping catches etc but when the margins are so fine, these are the things that decide results. Small improvements could lead to big results.
The teams are clearly quite evenly matched so you have to take your chances when they come.

I don't know. Ruthless implies you have a decision to make that requires decisive action. We're just making silly mistakes. Not conscious decisions to drop catches, bowl a million wides etc.

Fielding is costing/has cost England this series. Stat on the radio IIRC was Bairstow has taken 8/16 catches, Carey has taken 15/17. Root and Anderson have both made howlers in the last two games as well. Outside of the Smith drop of Stokes I’m struggling to think of anything easy they’ve put down.
