Pakistan finishes at 7 for 308! Amazing scenes!

Interesting statistic: South Africa has never successfully chased down a target of 309 against Pakistan at Lord's during a World Cup in June. So this will either be a history-making victory, or an unsurprising defeat.

Saffers have now lost their 5th match of the World Cup. They're officially out of the competition. du Plessis has described it as 'the lowest point of my career.'

Faf du Plessis said:
We’re not playing great cricket. We started pretty poorly with the ball and gave them a good start. There was a response and we were good through the middle overs, but they got 20-25 too many on that wicket. And then we made the same mistake of batsmen getting in and getting out. It’s not just spin that has troubled us; we’re struggling for confidence as a batting line-up. We’ve been working hard, but confidence in sport is an amazing thing.

Imran Tahir has been amazing throughout this tournament. There haven’t been enough guys standing up like him, which is why we’re where we are. We’re not doing ourselves justice and that’s the biggest disappointment.

England have failed to chase twice this world cup, and they put in Australia to bat first...

Teams in general have been struggling to chase all world cup as well.

Ball was moving around quite a bit early on so I think it was the right decision.

England haven't bowled as badly as commentators keep claiming. Aussie openers batted well and got plenty of luck with a very close LBW, couple of dropped catches and plenty of played and missed. Would have loved to see Smith looking village against the swinging ball though.
