The EPIC but actually **** thread!!

Vauxhall Nova anyone?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-...0738312?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4d17bce988

Welcome to my auction,

a very reluctant sale of my much loved vauxhall nova. heavily modified,

the engine has a single webber carb, performance cam, 4-2-1 manifold to a side exit exhaust and a lightened flywheel. has been recently rebuilt.

fitted with fully refurbished 16" alloy wheels colour coded to match the paintwork. all wheels are straight with good tyres on all 5 wheels

it has a prototype body kit fitted and smoothed in front quad irmsher headlights smoothed in (very rare now) rear quad lights smoothed in. M3 mirrors with side repeaters and sidelights fitted (also colour coded)

it has been lowered with shocks and springs has poly bushes fitted. has front strut brace and has a custom rear strut brace 4 point sparco harnesses and bucket seats. it has a rollcage welded in aswell, sparco "snap off" steering wheel sparco gear knob, digi dash from an astra gte. tinted rear windows, electric front windows, a custom bonnet this car has had £££££ 's spent on it and is a real head turner

the outside of the car is a real treat if you're into your Nova's the interior is ok but could benefit from some tlc to add your own touch to the car.

the car is painted blue with a psyco aqua metalflake

although it doesnt have any mot or tax im sure it will pass an mot without much work (if any)

there is really too much to mention on an ebay listing so many modifications to recall.

i have set the reserve price to a fraction of the money that has been spent on this car, but unfortunately its time for the car to go there is a load of spares to go with the car, you are more than welcome to come and view the car on appointment. if the car doesnt get enough interest i will break it up for spares and sell the parts individually

cash on collection and 200 deposit must be paid on auction end.

serious offers only please

any questions please ask

But that's in no way epic, just tragic, so doesn't really fit!

I think you misunderstood the point of this thread :p

OK, so the purpose of this thread is to post up cars that you find for sale in your surfing, that the people who are selling seem to think are something special, but in all reality to anyone sane they are the worst car in the world.....EVER. This does not need to be a 'go find' type thing, but perhaps when you come across them you can stick them in here and we can all laugh and point.

^ DAT STEERING WHEEL!

Common cholo lowrider mod. Terrifying to think about being in a head on collision with one, in a lowrider, which are usually in cars of the 50s and 60s that have a tendency to push the steering column into your chest.

Although as evidenced by the pictures, people will put them in ANYTHING!.

Did Austin actually do a VP Allegro? Or has he just stuck leather and wood in it and called it a VP?

Edit: Quick google.

With the Allegro, the makers avoided the full extent of badge engineering that had defined the marketing of its predecessor, but they nevertheless introduced in September 1974[2] an upmarket Allegro, branded as the Vanden Plas 1500/automatic. This featured a prominent grille at the front and an interior enhanced by a range of modifications designed to attract traditionally inclined customers, including: special seats upholstered in real leather, with reclining backrests; deep-pile carpets; extra sound insulation; a new instrument panel in walnut; walnut folding tables for the rear passengers; nylon headlining; and for the luggage, a fully trimmed boot/trunk. In 1974, a time when the UK starting price for the Austin Allegro was given as £1159, BLMC were quoting, at launch, a list price of £1951 for the Vanden Plas 1500.[2] The Allegro name was not used on this version.

JPS was the colour we all wanted back in the day, it was ace. However I think it has dated very badly over the years unlike other such schemes which still look funky (7 UP, Martini, Gulf) and then to add it to an All Agro is even worse.

All Agro's MUST be Brown or Mustard to be cool, everyone knows that!

If I had the money and the space, I'd get a Vanden Plas allegro in a heart beat, the interiors are lovely on them. You could get up to mischief in them with a turbo or supercharger fitted a-series :D

Seeing the JPS allegro has reminded me on the JPS Sinclair C5 that Ayton Senna pottered about in.
