The decadence of the EU is enough for me to vote out.

Why you want in to an unelected, unaccountable and selfish political idea is beyond me?

But hey ho, am just an uneducated right wing, Nazi, xenomorphic muppet! ;)

I have my reasons; but hey, I'm just a far-left, elitist egalitarian with neoliberal tendencies, dreads, and a gazillion, Trump-free safe spaces; a robber-baron, an incredibly wealthy employer without a job, who also somehow manages to fit in a stint at both the civil service and the curia of the EU, imbibing the tears of the precariat with my morning coffee, as Eurostar speeds me to my many daily labours. ;)

Did I get it all down, lol? :p

Funny ol' world, ain't it, itchy? :D

I note you're both pretty good at describing yourselves :D.

The saddest thing I've seen is a the out campaign flogging t shirts :(. Have yet to have any recycling through the door from the in campaign yet.

Same here. Still waiting for the glossy flood of spam to come a droppin'; my two dogs will love it though.:D

Must admit I've always wondered what's stopping people just coming ashore via boat.

Crossing the med and crossing the channel are in completely different leagues. The med is a mill pond. Plus you will probably get sunk but the Navy if you try.

I haven't had anything through the door but there were about a dozen people flyering in Hampstead yesterday. The first I've seen.

The risks with out are far too large, not that I even care about the supposed benefits of leaving. I'm all in for full federation.

EU, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship GD-BAM. Its 5-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no OCUKer has gone before.:D

Something niggling in the back of my mind is giving someone like Cameron (and Theresa May) less shackled scope to muddy our human rights. I won't pretend to know a lot about this, but I do receive some comfort in the idea of the ECHR acting as some sort of general check on letting any individual government stray too far. Interestingly for all the talk of fear leading the 'in' campaign, it sounds like a lot of reasons why Governments want greater autonomy is driven by that very thing. Fear of immigration, terrorism, an informed potentially disruptive electorate..

On one hand, I strongly dislike the idea of a lot of people I didn't vote for deciding what happens to me. On the other, I've long felt our general election vote is merely an illusion of choice anyway. Large parts of the country are always being ruled by someone they didn't vote for - That's just democracy. It doesn't seem like either major party align with my political views and I'm pretty much destined to be under at least one of them, so what difference does another bunch on top of them make? I hardly feel like I can hold my Government accountable if the only way to do so is voting in the other lot, who we held accountable by voting in this lot, etc etc.

Perhaps someone could help explain to me why either my fears on this are unfounded or maybe why it's actually a legitimate concern. I'll be reading up over the coming months to try and inform my decision as best I can. As of now I'm leaning slightly in, but not 100% decided either way.

Captain Kremmen ?

I wonder as an interesting diversion, if the situation were reversed i.e. Britain was out of the EU and having a referendum on whether or not to join; how many of the people who currently want to stay in the EU would advocate joining it?

Most of the out people don't have an issue with someone they didn't vote for governing. Their main issue is that their own vote is equal to that of Polish or Bulgarian. A 'True Brit' equal to an Eastern European in terms of voting power or job opportunities? Outrageous!
