Well there is, it's the first get over 50% the vote.

it is the option that gets over 50% once all votes are counted. different to first past the post. this doesn't work based on constituencies, it is based upon the total votes across Britain as a whole.

it would really **** people off if they tried pulling first past the post considering how that left the conservatives with a majority on 23% of the votes. Ukip with 2 million votes and only 1 MP, as well as the SNP with over 50 MP's on 1/4 the votes ukip got.

it can't be the first to get 50% since they could just call the referendums result based upon an area that has a strong swing for one way or the other.

I'm going to vote to remain I think.

Besides the fact that a friend who has double PHD in economics tells me leaving is a bad idea on our economy...I like to live in a country where people are more inclusive, work together than one that wants to drive away others.

take 2 - are intimate touches ok ? ><

You cannot give unbiased and impartial information if you have a vested interest in the EU.

yes you can, just most people don't.

every single person ahs vested interests. that does not mean you cant give an unbiased report.

leavers really do like making up rubbish.

still to close to call though which is worrying,

we are not trying to drive away others, we are trying to control out own countries destiny, trade, borders etc. Uncontrolled immigration as one of the issues puts a large burden on communities. Especially when the numbers are so high that you are having to build a city every year to keep up.

The one thing that remain keeps saying is that we are just going to isolate ourselves. that is nothing but fear mongering and a blatant lie, they would still be calling the leave campaign xenophobic, racist, bigots if a large number of conservative MP's and people from business had not joined.

What was the name of the last city that we built?

It's the idea of it, the we don't want anything to do with Europe, we can do it on our own etc.

It's not fear mongering, I said nothing of sort, it's just I prefer a place where people are not afraid of others come take their jobs or in your words, uncontrolled immigration...which I think is fear mongering.

Plus there is no arguing economics with someone who has 2 PHD in economics.

Junker from Athens said today that regardless the IN or OUT vote, no discussions for future changes on treaties will ever take place.

That is contrary to what DC says that if we vote for Remain we will talk to them for a better deal.

The leader of the Commission made clear that, even if UK stays in EU, there is no room for greater concessions towards London, as the British Prime Minister David Cameron has said, who talks about the continuation of talks for a reformed Union.

he isn't a dictator, he doesn't decide. just someone else throwing in nonses to a campaign that is an utter disgrace,

the EU is build on compromise as it basically needs everyone to agree.

can people please think for themselves rather than trying to use any old tat to support their view, even if its nonsense.

I don't think past treaties were ever up for renegotiation, nor the February deal. Why on earth would Cameron think they were?

We now have the European Union Act of 2011, the act that guarantees us a referendum on amendments to treaties & new treaties.

We did not have that 40 years ago, we are not the same country we were and it's high time you realised that.
