Make your mind up, either leaving the EU would stop your tax money going to unelected bureaucrats or it won't

Ahh, so it's just foreigners who are 'unelected' that you don't like getting your tax money, as long as they are British unelected bureaucrats you're ok with getting scammed. Gotcha.

You are just one of them people that pick bones to support your own personal stance on the election.

I have noticed that the remain crowd do like to pick bones and shout a lot.
I have also noticed the leave crowd seem quiet chilled and relaxed about the whole debate. I dunno might be just me. :p

What are you inners afraid of ?

Is it me or do leave bang on about leaving more than remain? As in a few of my friends on Facebook post something to do with leaving 2, 3 times a day with a big VOTE LEAVE on the end.

Where as I am remain and don't feel the need to badger everyone with my remain stance all day every day.

I notice this too. I'm sure someone will suggest it's because of embarrassment or something again.

You're missing my point. Ireland is an attractive proposition for tech companies. It'll become more enticing if the UK leaves the EU.

The UK managed to attract Google. The next Google might choose Ireland over an isolated UK though.

Google Europe is HQ'd in Dublin for tax reasons. It does far more business in the UK than it does in Ireland and indeed employs more people and with greater seniority in London. You have a frankly ridiculous situation where the most senior Google employee in Ireland reports to a guy in London and yet all the cash goes to Ireland. The reason why there are more Google employees in London than Dublin is because London has the skills, dynamism and energy that Google need. It's nothing at all to do with us being in the EU.

For years the big American corporations, especially tech giants, have exploited a tax loophole called the Double Irish. They've closed it now (but those using it have until 2020 to make alternative arrangements). The EU should have been working to close these loopholes but instead they encouraged them until it became a political issue. If the EU had been able to do something about this culture of rampant tax avoidance then great, that might be a good reason for voting for the EU tomorrow. But instead we see an organisation run by the global elite, exclusively for the global elite.

Wouldn't take weeks to cancel it.

And why should they? you are essentially saying that the leave campaign should be prevented from performing its own campaigning.

yes it was unfortunate that the flying of the plane coincided with that event. But it doesn't mean it was being disrespectful on purpose. People are just blowing it out of proportion without thinking. Then you have certain Remain campaigners using it to further demonise the leave campaign.

They don't get counted until polls close.

The postal votes are already counted and boxed up.

From the electoral commission website :

Receipt of sealed boxes of postal
ballot papers
4.8
Postal ballot papers previously received and
opened will have been
processed and should be brought to the verification and count venue in
sealed ballot boxes, with an accompanying ballot paper account for each
postal ballot box. Staff receiving the postal ballot boxes should use a checklist
to ensure that all postal ballot boxes and postal ballot paper accounts are
accurately accounted for

And they shouldn't be turning up? What happened to the most important vote in generations and all that?

I never said they shouldn't. I'm just pointing out that stories like the one John repeated are probably from the official remain campaign - their supporters are more likely to vote if they think Leave are going to win. I'd be surprised if anyone had even counted the postal votes yet.

And they shouldn't be turning up? What happened to the most important vote in generations and all that?

I find it hard to imagine somebody waking up tomorrow morning, skipping breakfast and running down to their polling station in their slippers to passionately vote remain. Except the people that will snapchatting the event to make some sort of statement.

And they shouldn't be turning up? What happened to the most important vote in generations and all that?

The point is they seem to be putting out a story that will motivate apathetic remainers to vote and persuade apathetic leave voters to stay at home.

Rather than encouraging all apathetic voters to come out and support their cause.

Lol wut?

Yea, sorry I'm one of those people that like substantiated bases for arguments not emotive, unreflective clap trap based on misrepresented data with a dashing of conspiracy theory

I think it's just you and it's called confirmation bias ;)

What are you inners afraid of ?

Whats the saying, think how stupid the average person is and realise 50% of the population are more stupid than that?

I'm afraid that 50% are going to shape the future of this country

Because it's incredibly disrespectful.

But my apologies, I didn't realise this plane was the whole leave campaign.
