Awe inspiring and lump-in-the-throat thread. Taken me some time to catch up but i'm very moved by your story and the generosity of ocuk. The press should be made aware of this thread.. that decent people, humanity and positive things can come from the net.

We did it before when we raised money for Dead Dog's son (Jay - it's in the archives). :) We even made the local press! I still have a clipping of it somewhere. :)

Done, funnily enough I was thinking of doing a good deed today while waiting at the bus stop, these things sometimes just fall into place :)

I really don't know how to describe how I feel about you after reading all of this.
I just have the utmost respect for you sir, absolutely. I'm only 17 and haven't truly experienced the ways of the world yet, but if I am to grow up to be half the man you are today, I would be truly honored.
I feel I will remember this for a long time, and as many others have said, you are an inspiration to us all, and an example for many others.
