The Expendables 2

With this cast the film was either going to be as good as the first or completely dreadful. But after Norris's comments I can't see it being anywhere near as good, will have to wait and see I guess but it ain't encouraging news.

This is going to set the bar very high for action films! :D

Arnie's bits were great and laughed at the car scene! :D Great to see him back where he belongs even though he looks like an old man now :p

Although i am not happy about the Chuck Norris stuff it does look good and Stallone Vs Van Damme.. Awesome.. I hope its not a case of "great trailer, poo film"

not so bothered about the ratings, to be honest we have come a long way in what can get shown on screen and still have a low cert.

trailer looks good, seems willis and arnie have bigger roles this time (not hard I guess)

Looks great fun :D

I'm not expecting movie of the century (no1 certainly wasn't!) I just want an old fashioned action film with cheesy lines and big explosions!

Lol at the Arnie scene as well when he rips the door off "my shoe is bigger than this car" :D

Hurry up August!!! :D

ignore that august, take your time...

I cannot believe they made this, I made the mistake of buying the first one on Blu, and at a fiver I thought I'd made a mistake - even my dad looked at me after he'd watched it and said "that was poor" (and he watches Syfi movie of the week stuff). It just felt like washed up action heroes day out:p (I've nothing against mindless action films*, but the first one was so bad it even went past so bad it's good, to so bad it's awful).

maybe this one will be better (it wouldn't be hard...)

*I can even enjoy Doom at a certain level.

I thought it was great, I normally hate mindless action films but this ticked all the right boxes of OTT action, cheesy, one liners and was just great :D

They could release one of these every year for my money as there are no quality action films like this released these days.

I think that was part of the problem with it for me, it wasn't funny and acknowledging what it was (like shoot em up for example), but also didn't really make much sense as anything else.
I don't expect action films to make much sense, or have any great action, but do sort of expect them to be at least mildly coherent, and if they're going to have masses of explosions, for them to at least look good :p (I think it was the end fire where the obvious use of cgi for some of the affects made me wonder why they'd bothered).
