they did, this is how arsenal love to play, let them have possession, when they loose it attack them at super speed. it won us the double last time

they did look better coz they had the ball a lot, also how many times was the ball cleared off the southampton goal line? How many good saves by niemi

listen to what the bbc commentators are saying, they said arsenal deserved it. But i shouldnt expect some of u lot to congratulate us :)

Afterlife i hope your listening to the post match analysis. :)

Arsenal fully deserved the win and without niemi and hte goal line clearences would have been a walkover by a fair few games.

oh well the better team won on the day, to be fair if henry had gone down at the start then it would be 11-10 and wot would the score line have been then, compliments to the frog for staying on his feet when so many would'nt

Played the arse much as i wanted you to lose, a good performance.

although as said before you need to learn how to finish teams if you wanna win the league, because a 2nd goal around half time would have made the difference..

was a good game, you can't say the Saints played badly, man 4 man ARSEnal are a far better team, but that didn't show today, I think they (saints) played very well, but no-one actually expected them to win.

GG anyways, I enjoyed it.

Saints fans should be really proud of their team, you made a real fight of it today and have a real team spirit when your playing never giving up and fighting right till the last kick of the game.

Bit of a pants game really although no team really shone Arsenal did have the better chances so deserved the win. Well played by Southampton though, they kept battling throughout and didn't let their heads drop when they conceded.

Jono what exactly was unsportsmanlike?
 
Well done arsenal, not a great spectacle but a win is a win, if the mancs had of won like this everyboddy would have been commending their sprit and resiliancy.

Watched the 1st half, though arsenal were not the best, bobby pires was rubbish, they were playing long ball footy it was likw watching liverpool play :p

I thought it was more to do with the fact we were pants than trying to play intelligent footy? Liverpool are just more consistently pants than us ;).

Because Arsenal didn't put the ball out. Ashley Cole had a bad touch, it went over the line so he hoofed it into the stands.

I couldn't get over the Arsenal fans complaining about it.
 
Nice to see that at least those "true" Arsenal fans who cannot go to see any games for <insert made up reason here> can at the very least go down to the pub to cheer them on.
