The FA CUP Fourth Round 27/28/29 January *** Spoilers ****

It depends what you mean by the racism situation. If you're talking about the whole incident which includes Evra feigning injury in front of the Kop, getting up and kissing his badge at the Liverpool fans and then, what a large amout of Liverpool fans believe, fabricating or at least exaggerating parts of his story to the FA, yes. As I've said many times, Evra would have been boo'd (just like Neville for doing the same (actually Neville's was far worse) for kissing his badge alone).

So basically, they're booing him because of the race issue as they think he exaggerated it (when it seems he didn't)? That doesn't really make it okay.

As for the badge kissing, that would be fair enough but I doubt he's the only player to have done that.

What's an acceptable reason for players being boo'd or generally abused? Is there a valid reason for the abuse Gerrard gets from Utd fans for instance or does that reflect badly on your club? If so, I'm sure you've said as much before today.

Trying to put them off, make them feel uneasy, that's expected. Gerrard being booed is for those reasons and maybe because some fans think he's a cheat or any number of football related reasons. It isn't because he was the victim of racism and got a Utd player banned because of it.

I doubt that the Liverpool fans disliked him much more than any other player until the race issue, if you disagree then fine.

If it had just been a few fans, then it would have been expected and have been a non-issue, but the entire ground was focused on booing him. If you think that had nothing to do with what happened, then I totally disagree.

The bottom line is, if the race thing hadn't happened, would Evra's reception yesterday have been different? I think it would, very much so. I think it was related to the racism incident, not Evra being booed because of skin colour (like some of the illiterates have suggested).

Anyway, I'm not calling your fans racist or anything like that, just that I thought it was intensified due to him getting a Liverpool player in trouble (over a sensitive issue). That's all. :)

He was boo'd for a collection of reasons; partly down the race issue, partly down to the badge kissing, partly down to him being a Utd player and partly down to him being a bit of a **** generally. It wasn't because he was a victim and certainly not because he was black, as some (not you) have said.

And I can't recall many Utd players that have kissed their Utd shirt in front of the Kop.

So you're saying Gerrard gets singled out for **** from Utd fans because some think he cheats but you're trying to play down the importance of a Utd player kissing his badge in front of the Kop as being a valid reason for Evra getting abuse? :o

The second Evra started taunting the Liverpool crowd he was in for abuse every time he comes to Anfield. Of course the race issue has added to it but as above, it was not because he was a victim as you keep suggesting.

I wouldn't have an issue with somebody complaining about Evra getting boo'd if they were regularly criticising the fans that chant far far worse things. Lets be honest though, that's not the case here. It's just about point scoring.

Flappy in goal:(...nice to see the Ox starting...hopefully we can get a result from this but i have a feeling we might end up with a draw or a loss judging by our last 3 games :/

If that's your opinion then fair enough, I'm certainly not trying to point score (what would that achieve?!).

As I said, I thought it was a bit of a poor show that there was intensified booing over the racism issue, I thought it was far from a good advert for Liverpool as Kenny had suggested.

If you disagree - fine.

Kenny also suggested Utd fans were a credit to their club too when maybe they weren't. Is it not possible that he's trying to focus on football and move on from a bit of pantomime booing and a section of idiots singing disgusting songs?

Anyway, I'm fed up with it and I'm moving on. Good draw for us, who did you get? :p
