Another nice move by Kagawa when he's in behind the striker. It's infinitely better than this pathetic get it out wide and let the centre backs have practice at clearing the ball strategy. In Januzaj and Kagawa we've got players that can do it so why don't we??

Welbeck, RvP and Rooney are good enough to do it as well. You should be playing Welbeck, Rooney and Kagawa narrow behind RvP (when everyone is fit), with Fletcher and Carrick shielding the back four. Width from Rafael and Evra/Buttner.

Then you don't play with wingers which is what United are good at (when we have ****ers than can cross of course)

I'm talking about the players that available today. Welbeck...who knows. Sometimes he does great one touch football, other times his control is just terrible.

It's all very well saying 'Kagawa doesn't fit our style of play' If our style of play was working then fair enough, poor signing and move on. But our style of play is just not working for 90% of the team, so we need to change it.

You don't. Your best players - Januzaj, Rooney, RvP, Kagawa - are all best when played narrow. Januzaj can do a job wide, but is intelligent enough to play narrow as well.

Why people say "we play with wingers, end of" is beyond me. It's not working, you've not got the players for it. Do something different.

I'm not saying end of.

If you play that formation (which I wouldn't mind seeing) you are then effectively getting rid of Nani,Valencia,Young which is fine but you don't make those kind of decisions to change formation/players mid season.

That's Fabio's united career 6 feet under

What career? That's the third game he's played this season. Moyes has played Valencia over him several times (at great cost to us) his career was over for us 2 years ago, we just didn't bother selling him (far better to reduce his value to nothing first)

Nani and Young can both play in the middle if needed (didn't young used to play behind the striker quite a bit at Villa?) The only player it would harm is Valencia, which is no loss. We could have him as 5th backup right back/janitor.

Is that where they play best though?

Should we keep them around because "they can do a job behind the striker" when we have Rooney/Kagawa/Januzaj that can all do it better?

Two of the most frustrating players I've ever seen for United.

Why? Liverpool have changed formation two or three times this year. Chelsea switch between 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1. Spurs have changed with their new manager.

I'm not saying sell and buy in January. Even if you buy nobody, these are changes that can be made.

Regarding Young, Valencia and Nani they are not good enough to be playing for you. So don't play them.
