I think that changing Moyes could be the right move - but it's a difficult call. I want to support him but it's not always easy.

At the moment he's shown no major positives:

  • Got rid of the backroom staff that have been fantastic for many years
  • Frozen out a promising young winger in Zaha for seemingly no reason
  • Doesn't seem to be attempting to impose any kind of style (however boring) on the team - keeps putting square pegs in round holes
  • Has risked making players injuries worse because he's worried what the fans will think
  • Seems to think we play well and are the better team whenever we lose (with perhaps one exception)
  • The players don't seem to be playing for him, which is a rather big worry
  • Tried to buy Fabregas for £26m

Reasons to keep behind him:

  • The greatest manager of all time chose him as his successor
  • Ed Woodward didn't do him any favours with transfers, though Moyes isn't blameless either
  • This was never going to be a straight forward transition
  • Kept Rooney and brought Januzaj through
  • ...?

Look at it this way, even if Moyes does 'click into gear', do we then suddenly play like Everton did previously, but a bit better because we have better players? I'd like to see what players he plans to sign in the summer, assuming he doesn't want to sign anyone now as he's said.

He did do well with Everton over the years, Roberto Martinez has got a few superb loan signings which has made them better but he is working from Moyes' base to some degree. It's not a given he'll finish in a better position than Everton did with Moyes last season anyway. So far I see nothing of what made Everton good in Man Utd, their resilience etc.

You have to wonder what the Glazers are thinking, they might not be as patient as people think. Would those of you who definitely want him out be happy with, for example, Guus Hiddink replacing him as a caretaker or something? What do people want?

Have you finished with your crap yet?

Was it filled with United fans telling you how **** you were yesterday?

HAHAHALOLOLOL 2-0 Arsenal HAHAHAH, Spurs are finished.

It's childish cm :)

you seem to be struggling with what ''manchester united. the biggest club in the world'''s ambitions might be and what is expected from them, compared with other clubs.

thanks for the 4 points again. think we'll take all 6 next season. would that be seen as an over achievement from spurs or an under achievement from united?

Which is great and if that is the level we need to be at then so be it, we're never going to dominate for 20+ years, no one ever does.

So what you meant to say was that we're in a decline, which is true, transitional period that could go either way? absolutely, finished? not just yet :)

Your right your in decline not finished that's my poor choice of words, but as Liverpool proved once you go into decline it's very hard and will take a long time to come out of it

It really is pointless talking to you, your bitterness is overwhelming and clouds your arguments.

I really do think that if you had a choice of Spurs winning the league or United being relegated you would pick the latter.

Congrats, you beat the worse United team in 25 years with your post Bale super squad, do you win something for that?

And like Liverpool have proved, with history and a solid fan base with the right people in charge you can still compete. (they won the CL ffs :D)

Or you could look at Chelsea who keep changing managers all the time and keep throwing money around and have done pretty well?

These things are all very different and very circumstantial. One bad season won't see the fall of the biggest club in the world (or joint, whatever). A lot will happen over the next couple of years and that will decide how things go forward. No matter how much you want Man Utd to fail (you're worse than the Liverpool fans) - there's quite a way to go yet.

he should call on zaha's assistance. he knows how to fill a hole. apparently. and every hole's a goal!

That is just a rumour that someone made up as to why Moyes doesn't play him. He might not like him for other reasons but he at least deserves a shot.

One thing is clear, if he fails to secure Champions League football next season he will go. The fact that people are discussing the possibility that we won't is a big enough alarm bell.

In my opinion his biggest error was with the back room staff change.

I didn't mean you but thanks :)

I think we already worked out you don't like United.

Fair one sorry

I don't not like united, what I don't like is the self obsessed fans that think they have a god given right to win everything and that every refs decision should go their way, the 1991 fans as you would put it. I have no problem with the true supporters that will stick with them through thick and thin.

1000th post woohoo

If we don't improve our squad and we assume there will be injuries for a few months yet, I really don't see how we will finish top 4, which is massively depressing. ;'(

anyone got a photo of moyes' daughter?

LOL fact of the matter is that Spuds could spend £500mill on new players and they wouldnt win **** let alone the league:p

Giggidy Utd lost, was a bit of a surprise result that was...didnt think Swansea had it in them to beat Utd at OT seeing as they had Michu and a few other players out through injury.

Anyhow looks like we got Coventry next round at home, should be an easy game much like us thumping the lowly Spuds yesterday.

Btw Arsenal have decided that all the coins thrown yesterday will be donated to charity...Spurs fans the gift that keeps on giving:D

This i agree with, when you have Fergie saying to Moyes that leave the backroom staff alone...that should mean something. But then who knows, perhaps the backroom staff...the ones who won many trophies with Fergie in charge wanted to leave of their own accord seeing as Fergie was leaving himself.

Still think Utd will grab that 4th spot in the CL by end of season, will be the first time that ive ever seen them having to qualify for the CL proper.

I'm sure they had to qualify in the 2002-2003 season after they finished 3rd in 2001-2002
