The FA CUP Third Round - 5/6/7 January *** Spoilers ***

I honestly thought it wasn't intentional, you can tell by the way he just smacks the ball into the net in frustration. ANYBODY who watches Suarez score his goals when he rounds the keeper, he never finishes it emphatically, he just passes it into the net. The witch hunt with Suarez will always be on going while he is working in England. I,along with many other Liverpool fans, couldn't care less what opposition fans feel about him, nor do I think he does.

I came across this on twitter:

@philmcnulty said:
John Terry cleared a ball that was well over the line against Ukraine in Euros. Did not hear demands that he should have informed referee.

I wonder if there would have been the same uproar if it had happened to another Liverpool player...

No one told Roy Carroll to own up either, no one expects them to, nothing different in this case to discuss

Also people need to calm the witch hunt stuff, everyone who isnt a sensationalizing journo or the people who reacted with 'dirty cheating ****' straight after have accepted there was nothing intentional

I agree, when I saw it in real time i thought it was a handball but you can see on the replay as soon as it hits his hand he slows down and then kicks the ball in frustration into the next. Even if he hadn't I'm pretty sure it was going in anyway.

I feel sorry for Mansfield, they deserved some luck for the way they came back into the game but full credit to their manager who showed a lot of class in his post match interview.

ESPN said:
'We take our responsibility to deliver the highest standards of coverage to our viewers. ESPN’s editorial policy is for commentators to be unbiased and honest, to call things as they see them.

'Inevitably this can involve treading a fine line on occasion, especially in the heat of the moment. Comments during the Mansfield v Liverpool match caused offence where none was intended and we have spoken to our commentator about this incident.'

Seems Liverpool supporters have taken the time to stop voting for Goal of the Week competitions and instead used their top up phone credit to swamp ESPN with complaints :p

On a serious note it's about time Champion was taken down a peg or two, seriously cannot stand the man, his voice, his face, it's all bile inducing :o

I felt sorry for Mansfield yesterday as the officials were woeful, they could easily have been given a pen or 2 and the Suarez goal shouldn't have been allowed obviously. Downing had it right when he said that he couldn't believe professional officials could miss something like that.
I don't think he meant it by the way so there was no need to own up to it.
There were plenty of anti Liverpool twits on the radio this morning saying he was wrong not to tell the ref and it's not in the spirit of the game, I bet they don't claim the same thing next time Young or Bale or someone dives in the area.

Bale doesnt dive

Aye I've heard that argument on SSN today as well, seriously 99.9% of players would have done exactly the same as what Suarez did, it's only because it was against lowly Mansfield people are getting their knickers in a twist had it been Suarez against Villa no one would give a toss

Don't recall sunderland been called cheats for not asking for the goal to be disallowed in the famous beach ball incident. Its down to suarez, people just don't like him.

Champion is ~so so for me, can not stand that utter **** of a human Alan Green. Would happily never hear his voice or stupid opinions ever again.

I thought most of the idiots were on the internet too, seems 90% of people here can see the handball for what it was, although I guess only thick idiots phone in to complain about that crap on radios/sky.

Champion has been a nob since I can remember on ESPN, could Suarez sue him for damages? God I'm so vindictive

I don't think suarez could sue as his reputation isn't damaged, people already think he's cheat.

I left the radio on after the Liverpool game and 606 came on with Alan 'I'm a utter ****' Green, and they had an Irish fan on still ranting about the Henry handball :D.

Gah this place is more tedious than work, why do I come on here?

Last page has looked okay bar the Bale doesn't dive thing :p?

Thats a pity. Did ESPN show the man of the match? I went and voted for Suarez from phone and PC in hope I'd hear champion have so say it while crying.

Southend or Brentford v Chelsea

OH GOD! I've waited 20 years for a game like this in the FA Cup, now we just need to put a good team out against Southend in the replay and regain our decent home form!

Could be a very decent time to be unemployed, can make sure I get my tickets for this game and it also looks like we've got 4 home games in a week and a half! :D

I hope it's Brentford too, I've been dragged there since the late 70's and it's very rare I've been interested in the football :p
Chelsea will only get about 1600 tickets at a guess so it won't be easy to get one, this is when nepotism can be a good thing
