The FA CUP Third Round - 7/8/9 January *** Spoilers ****

No, i do think he is average and two goals today one of them a lucky penalty doesn't change my opinion but for people to constantly keep going on about it is pretty embarrassing. Move on.

Circa 300m.

We lose one game narrowly against a awful ref and missing quite a few key players and its bad.

How much did your team cost that played Crystal Palace and get beat? hahahahahahahha drivel.

Explain the awful ref? A double footed tackle with studs showing, either a definite yellow or a possible red, the ref went for the latter. A possible handball? No, Jones blocked it with his left leg and it rebounded to hit his right arm, how is that intentional?

So you spend 300m and draw against West Brom? Definitely money well spent.

Ahh well, 3-2 was it? Love it.

So easy to wind MCFC fans up.

ok. reality check.

city dominated second half with 10 men and spanked you 6-1 in october. just saying, like.

They didn't even come close to dominating that second half, they got one goal from a free kick and one goal on a counter attack. Were we fortunate the game ended 2-3? Not really, there wasn't one period when they had us under the cosh. Did we play well the second half? No but as it turned out we didn't need to.

As for the 1-6 you're conveniently leaving it out of your argument that 3 of their goals came after 89+ minutes (like today against 10 men). Just saying like.

City may well go on to win the title but we're not far off and I'm sure our deficiencies will be addressed in the summer.

biz just give it up and bide your time for the next united loss where the thread turns into a 30 page epic of crying. then just save the quote on stopping crying and accepting the loss and throw it back at them.

Like when City won 6-1, all of the United fans said well done and well deserved.

You don't come in here very often it seems.

Well it is, you all disagree with me but still keep posting about it like a load of children. Why can't you just think to yourself. hahaha Biz was wrong anyway what about the rest of the game. To keep talking about it is bordering obsession.

Well apparently Dzeko is a donkey and Barry a very very average footballer yet they put you to bed a few months ago.

Two goals, one of them a good header and the 2nd a lucky penalty so i should change my opinion?

Where have I said any of that about Dzeko or Barry? Your opinion is ridiculous and bizarre, not even considering this game.

Foy deserves a rest after that. He wasn't even going to blow his whistle till Rooney protested, and then he reacted.

Good game for the neutral though.

Watch the game back and see the amount of tackles that City win yet get pulled back for and as many have said it is simply not a red. The ref should be able to see the difference between the two. So what if it wasn't intentional.

When Chelsea beat us the ball hit Lescott who was protecting himself it wasn't intentional but they still got the penalty.

So what? how much have utd spent but got beat by Blackburn, Newcastle, Basel and Crystal Palace what about Real they have spent loads and still get spanked by Barca?

In that game we were resounding winners and can't think of one bad decision but i am just annoyed that today we were beat by what i think ultimately comes down to the ref.

You haven't but you keep going on about Rooney being average yet he scored today so i am saying that people think them two are average but they put you to bed a few months ago. Their performances didnt change anyones opinion and Rooney's wont today.

Man united were holding the ball rather than attacking with it (held off shooting etc), of course they're going to have a lot of possession using that method of play, but overall city were the better team in the second half, you can't deny that.
That's exactly what they should have done though. 3-0 up and away from home, why take the risk of going for more goals? That they were let down by errors at the back is a different story.

what I don't understand is that people cannot seem to grasp that a two footed tackle of any description is AGAINST the rules...the best Kompany could have expected under the rules was a yellow if it was thought to be reckless...well the Ref thought it wasn't only reckless and was excessive so as far as he is concerned the sending off is justified.

We can argue over which card was justified all day, but one was definitely justified one way or the other.....and if Nani hadn't jumped over the tackle which made it look pretty innocuous we would even be discussing whether he was sent off or not, but how many more games he was going to be banned for a committing a dangerous tackle....

People will always fail to understand something when it suits their agenda.

Unfortunately a huge amount of people 'hate' Manchester United, so look to get all uppity about decisions and what have you.

You'll notice if you check the weekend football threads on here, every time a decision may be questionable, there are a load of posts along the lines of - "Man Utd getting all the decisions again" or similar drivel. It gets boring.

Oh i'm not arguing that it's what they should have done, if anything the fact they did just that but still conceded two was even worse from an MU point of view than if they were still playing for goals!

It was a good game to watch though, looking forward to biting my nails off in tomorrows match now :D

EDIT: anyone watching Peterborough vs Sunderland? I hope boro get their asses handed to them :D

I thought Chris Foy had a good game by his own high standards. Certainly better than Stoke vs Spurs.

Seriously though he has to be the worst ref in the league, and not even good enough to be a league 2 ref, should be sacked by the F.A.

When you have bizarre and outlandish opinions, expect them to be questioned and possibly mocked. That's all I can say to you.
