The FA CUP Third Round - 7/8/9 January *** Spoilers ****

This is far better than commentary, bet some people are confused though as they've never been to an actual match though. Bet they'd get confused if there were no replays either.

Watching football on TV without commentary sucks. What's going on with ITV at the moment?

The way ITV **** things up so regularly is quite impressive.

I'm not sure football without commentary is a bad thing though. All the people that base their opinion on what the commentator say rather than what they saw, will now have to form their own opinion.

Just goes to show you how boring televised matches are (compared to watching football live) when you haven't got some know-it-all blathering constantly.

Man City are appealing the red card. I doubt it will be rescinded though, it was easily justifiable as reckless.

It shouldn't have been a red but there's no chance it will get rescinded. Lets just hope the appeal goes through before Wednesday.

At first I was like:

"I've got a bad feeling about this game"

Then I was like:

"Sweet, we're gonna score 6!"

But then I was like:

"Whats going on!"

Eventually though I was like:

Well we should've buried them in the 2nd half but we didn't turn up, I'd be extremely annoyed too like the boss was!

Ref made some bad decisions, I'm even gonna say I didn't think the tackle was a red but a yellow/freekick but I'm not surprised to see the boss say it is, he'll defend his players first because Nani could've been injured I guess. Most certainly a penalty in the 2nd half for Valencia and never a hand ball against Jones it hit his leg first while he was on the ground trying to get up / clear the ball. Just lacked concentration and too eager to get another goal.

We've missed our chance to hurt City here, but as the Legend Roy Keane just said "We could give City credit here but they're out of the cup." :p

Unfortunately it won't be rescinded as it has been pointed out it will be deemed reckless/dangerous by some and a good tackle by others.

Richards was immense at CB though and we can slot Zaba at RB with no problems apart from losing the attacking outlet down the right.

When Chelsea beat us the ball hit Lescott who was protecting himself it wasn't intentional but they still got the penalty.
.

Two wrongs dont make a right (esp in different games). Clearly it wasnt a penalty from a replay, and its quite easy to understand why it wasnt given first off (considering angles etc)

you should consider your 2nd goal today very lucky indeed (considering in the same move the Kolorov should have conceded a 2nd penalty, in which case your 2nd wouldnt have been scored like that if at all)

It wasn't a good tackle. It was two footed and he's jumped into it. At worst (or best depending on which way you look at it) it was a yellow card.

I personally thought it was only worth a yellow because I didn't think he was out of control, used excessive force nor was the challenge particularly dangerous. However, despite the laws not specifying it, 2 footed tackles are nearly always punished with a red card.

Richards was hardly immense either. You were an absolute shambles at the back until HT, when you effectively went to 5 at the back, and Utd seemed to take their foot off the pedal.

Now the dust has settled, we have to remember no-one gave United a chance before the game and we went and won so should really just be happy with that!

I was stunned at half time, the odds were still 6-1 for Utd to win, but agree should be very happy with the win esp after last couple of games

Glad Smalling is back

Oh yeah don't get me wrong it was a miracle result really, it's just a shame that we went so downhill from half time, always makes the victory seem a little less glossy.

Haha what is all this Man City fans are 'proud' of their players?

They had a player sent off for a two footed tackle.

Man Utd should have had 2 penalties from two very stupid tackles from City defenders.

Man Utd made City look better than they deserve in the second half.
