The Fashion Thread... personal tastes, musings, and recommendations

Alright thanks guys! I saw it was wool but it never really meant anything to me in respect to costing more :o If that seems like a fair price then I am very tempted :)

I also thought it looked quite unique too; have always liked old fashioned looking clothes but during my youth feared being ridiculed. Just don't like zips, or bright colours, trainers, plastic artificial feeling clothes/coats, large branded logos etc. Shiny looking jeans are the worse of all though and make me want to vomit!

My previous dark grey coat was £70 in a Burtons sale two or three years ago so :p

Just do it, there's really a difference (besides the obvious) in paying 70 quid for a jacket you think is ok, and 250 on one you love and have set your heart on. You'll get veery attached to it. :)

I picked this up not so long ago from YOOX.com...

Composition: 100% Merinos Wool
Details: boiled wool, button closing, four pockets, with flap, long sleeves, buttoned cuffs, partially lined interior

Just thought i'd add that this jacket is one of the coolest I ever bought... Italian-made, great cut and styling, reasonably warm, and gets very nice comments. :)

I'm a model :(. I modelled naked on OcUK once :D. Ask Janesy B if you want details, he's obsessed ;).

Zero in reality :).

However I am just about to order this lot:

Or would be if they had the jacket in M.

Bloomin chuff that place is expensive, prices look RRP, where is it?

Might as well post my new shoes in here. :p

English made brogues from Charles Tyrwhitt.

Niiiiiice, though not my colour. Lovely looking quality though. :D

Any help on jeans? Was going to get a pair of these (but their out of stock);

http://www.asos.com/French-Connecti... jeans&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=Blue

Pretty skint at the moment, but could do really do with a new pair of jeans.

What size are you? There are about 9 pairs of mens jeans made by FCUK at ASOS so there must be one in your size surely. Your post just reminded me of them so I took another look and I like the look of the French Connection Hop Regular Fit Denim Jeans. Almost all the jeans they have from FCUK are well fitting ones.

Anyone got any reccommendations on good, stylish T-Shirts that dont cost the earth? Want to get some for Summer with some funky prints and designs that will stand out from the masses a little but am having real trouble finding any not made by the usual suspects. Ideas, anyone?

34/36.

Never had FCUK jeans, was going by your advice on the first page. Will have another look just now.

Depends what fit you are dude... they are a slim (not skinny, but straight and slim) leg. They fit me perfectly.

Hmm, currently looking for some white or brown casual shoes/trainers (slip-on, no laces) that look at home on the street or in a bar/club... any ideas chaps? Budget up to £60 or so. :)

Those Refectory merino V-necks from TKMaxx that Bichdog recommends are gash. Three months down the line and they've bobbled like a mother ****er. Guess you get what you pay for.

Bichdog? How... erm, inventive. And they're not gash, mine are still fine since I posted about them here. ;)

Can't go wrong with this :

That's what I tend to wear.

Or this... if I genuinely want to impress...

A lot of people are finding the thread useful and contributing, please don't start trolling it with unfunny pics. :)

Do neither of you eat. :D

Do you have nothing better to do than make fun of people slim people who find it harder to put on weight? It's a tad odd, and not a little lame.

Went to TK Maxx again today on my second of my two of three visits a year, and once again got a couple of nice things. The two items im most chuffed with are two Feraud belts, one black one brown, made from lovely mottled leather that were a snip at a tenner each. Next I got two t-shirts, one slim-fitting one with a cool print I haven't seen before, the other a very classy cream Ralph Lauren one, also slim-fitting. I finished off with two more Refectory merino wool v-neck jumpers, also on sale for a tenner each. Bargaintastic. :)

Polo Ralph Lauren, but only if you aren't fat.

If you look good naked then fashion doesn't matter. If you are fat, no amount of fashion is going to help you and you are much better off purchasing very cheap clothes and spending the money on a gym membership, a personal trainer and higher quality healthy food.

If you look good naked then fashion doesn't matter? If you are fat no amount of dressing well will help you? What a load of tosh! :p

Just got to give a big shout out to Jack & Jones... not only do their T-shirts fit great on slim guys (bit of a nice muscle fit too), but they have had some awesome designs for the summer. No cheap prints that come off in the wash, just great quality at great prices. http://jackjones.bestsellershop.com/t-shirts/143943

Just got back from Ibiza and got a fair few compliments about the ones I took, people asking where I got them from etc. :)

Can anyone reccommend a decent and very slim fitting silhouette black business coat, made from pure (or minimum 80%) wool? Slim silhouette is very important, cant be wide or baggy, needs to look sharp.
