The Fashion Thread... personal tastes, musings, and recommendations

Well the shirt isn't that offensive? (I'm not going for the look the shirt is pictured with btw, don't think I could pull it off.)

Chinos are chinos, I've got some nice tee's to go with them for just casual every day.

As long as you aren't wearing the chinos like the guy pictured is doing, then I approve.

However, if you do. No no no no no.

Today I got some £10 jeans from Topman, £9 Penguin shorts from TK Maxx, and some smart chinos for £15 from Zara. I do like the sales. :D

On another note.... Picking up my new first tailor made suit in the morning :D

Currently in Thailand. So found the best tailor using trip advisor, emailed he owner a few times before I got out here and had my final adjustment fittings today. Apart from a couple of tweaks it's looking excellent! I've had jacket, trousers, waistcoat and tie.

Crazy how quickly it can be made. I onlychipset the fabric, lining and had my first fitting 4 days ago!

Paid about more than some of the other tailors around here, you can get them for around £70 if you go to somewhere not as good/reputable. Mines come to £180 for a mid-high range material. Absolutle bargain if you ask me for a suit designed especially for me.

I recommend anybody travelling to this part of the world to get one while you are here. Exact measurements are taken and kept on record for any future orders. They will send out material samples too if you can't choose from the full res photos they send you. I've picked out my fabric for the next suit I have so that it's easy for them to make next time I order.

It will be made to measure rather than bespoke. So they will fit your bodily measurements to the closest fit of an existing pattern. Still, it'll definitely look better than 90% of suits people are wearing out there. :D

I don't, and I'll get stick from my mates too so it's all good ;) I don't own chinos and tend to wear t-shirts/longsleeves most of the time. I fancy a smarter look for a change. It may not last!

Good selection in them three items. Ive been looking at some long sleeved polos and that shirt has tempted me now...must resist !

Yeah, I picked some features from their display suits. I'm a weird shape so normal suits don't fit perfectly. I've managed find the odd next one that has come close in the past but it's rare.

Can someone tell me if this kind of shirt exists....

What I am after is a kind of casual/formal plain white shirt BUT i want one that needs cufflinks but the cuff doesn't double over like it does on a smart formal shirt.

such a thing might not exist because IRL it looks stupid but I jsut wondered if it was possible to get such a shirt.

Ta.

Comfy, smart trainers that go well with jeans and a shirt....what can you guys do for me?

Comfy is a must, I am so fed up with converse and the pain they do to my feet!
