I used to think that too but then I bought a very good fitting double-breasted pea coat and never looked back, they go with just about everything. In fact I remember a Hugo Boss one I was in love with, let me see if I can find it... *goes off to Google*

Tried it on and it was a beautiful jacket... but there was no way I was paying almost 500 quid for it!

It's an unnecessary amount to spend on a jacket.. but finding one I really like comes around once every 3-4 years (about the time my jackets last). I've learned to just buy when it comes around!

Same with shirts - rather than buying several which don't fit very well for less money and rarely wearing them as a result, if I find one which fits really well I buy it (almost) no questions asked.
 
I'm trying to find a nice winter coat - any suggestions? Something suitable for these cold winters up North - I'm not used to them!
 
 
There are some seriously gay/fem clothing choices in this thread :p

However on topic i purchased a nice coat from Matalan the other day, only £40!, anything over £70 is a rip off :p

I just got the Superdry Polar Windcheater. I love it. It's my first 'proper' coat and it's quite strange being warm outside despite only wearing a thin layer underneath. It's such a common coat!

I really need some decent but cheap boots to get me through this winter. Any recommendations?
