US: The Flash (2014)

I am getting tired of every other meta being a bad guy and they need to change that. What makes Barry so special that he didn't become a bad guy?

Perhaps because he works with cops and he was raised by a cop. Also his mom was killed and his Dad imprisoned unjustly which may give him a better sense of right / wrong and justice. Remember the episode where he was contemplating busting his dad out.

But yeah ratio for good to bad is messed up :p

I don't think it's too bad. Any 'good' metas are less likely to be noticed probably (perhaps taking more steps to hide their abilities than someone trying to profit from them) and generally power corrupts. Barry has only stayed on the right side because of his upbringing and the friends around him.

Perhaps the reason why we're mainly only seeing bad meta-humans is because they were crooks and petty criminals before hand, ergo they're the ones most likely to go out and start using their new found abilities to rob, kill and cause mayhem.

Whereas he timid little high school English teacher who got zapped, is just using her abilities to stop her unruly class of teenagers from acting like dicks in the classroom and to keep them mentally focused on the school work at hand.

Just seen the first few episodes, rather #### tbh.

Poor cheesy acting is very off putting and the flash is such a whiny kid.

Haven't you heard? That's a staple when it comes to comic-related shows. :p

Watch season 1 of Heroes if you haven't already. I find the acting in that is much more believable than the majority of these shows. Although I'm really looking forward to Daredevil and Jessica Jones (now that she's been cast!).

AMC are doing Preacher which should be awesome. There about 10 different comic book shows coming out in the next year or two.

The Flash has already paid homage to the short-lived CBS series from the 1990s in casting its star John Wesley Shipp as the father of Barry Allen. Now, the CW series is staging an even bigger nod to the original show, by bringing back Mark Hamill (yes, that Mark Hamill) as the zany supervillain known as the Trickster.

Enjoyed the crossovers but I winda wish instead of them just dropping into each others towns on flimsy reasons there'd been a threat worthy of them teaming up instead of what basically comes down to "Well I'm here because we need to pop a rating".

Should be good he was excellent as The Joker in the Batman games.

OMG! What has happened to this programme?

In one episode its gone from a kids programme to an adults one. It seems to have taken a leaf out of Arrow, and has a dark side.

This weeks was brilliant and I hope it stays like this. 10/10 from me!!

And I think we have a new Felicity in Caitlin!

And 6 weeks till the next episode isnt funny !!:mad::mad:

I am definately liking the Flash more now, possibly even slightly more than Arrow at this point but only because Arrow hasn't been as stand out this season.

I don't think Wells is actually Reverse Flash, think Eddie Thorne kind of made it obvious with the 'why didn't he kill us (me)' line. So Iris dies or just leaves him?
