US: The Flash (2014)

starting to loose it with the Flash now.

I mean come on you've got Lincoln and Wentworth with no powers just two decent guns and the flash is running rings around them SEVERAL TIMES. Come on either just knock them out OR steal the weapons run off and leave them to the cops. Arhhhhhhhhhhh just so frustrating.

What does he do? just keeps running round them for the umpteenth time until they get a poxy shot. Arhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Yeah agreed, it was comically poor that he just kept on sprinting between them over and over. I was sat there thinking 'couldn't he have just knocked both of them out with super speed punches by now?'.

I was thinking why don't the coppers just shoot them in their backs?

I was thinking all of these things.
That was ridiculous and I usually have a reasonable tolerance for suspending disbelief with this kind of thing.

The only way to stop them was to cross the streams? Er, no. Just use your speed and kick them in the nuts. Job done.
Or yeah, just have the cops shoot them.

I'm not looking for believeable. If I was, the whole rescuing people at super speed without them being instantly dead from pulverised brains and whiplash would've done it for me :p

I'm talking about a retardly written scene. That's all.

Anyway, I'm in danger of doing a DM without the paragraphs here...

But it's still true. I can forgive a lot in these type of shows and films under "it's just entertainment get on with it" but this one was over my suspension of disbelief threshold 50 cops present, the Flash on his arse and no-one put a bullet in the guys doing it?

I really like the show and even i was wondering what the hell they were doing with that scene. They've had a few like it in Arrow too but overall it's been good enough to overlook them, hopefully this one continues to be too.

I was thinking all of that as well, was really a poorly directed scene and ruined that whole episode imo.

I do hope that Wells isn't The Reverse Flash though after this episode it's looking like he is considering we've now seen him at speed. Still, I hope there's some twist and I'm pretty sure a big twist at the end of the season is virtually a given.

While he does have the suit in there, he also has red lightning when he moves at speed, not yellow.
I'm not up with the comic lore on this btw.

Not sure why we're talking in spoilers since we're just speculating on what's happening in the show :p

Fast enough to take a photo, let go of the camera and go back but can't miss an obvious hostile with weapons about to lunge his arms at him. Cmon writers, you can do better.

thats where this show really falls down for me. so many times hes seemingly moving at a walking pace for him. oh well. i get why they do it.

Where are you guys watching this?, it used to be on my nowTV account before the break, but this season restart doesn't seem to be on there (not the new stuff or the old).

U can just google "watch the flash online" if u dont know where to find it. I personally use Showbox and always watch it on my phone while i'm in bed.

I hope it doesn't turn out the DR. is bad i actually like the character.

I'm going with...
Given that Wells was going on about tachyons and has a screen displaying news articles from 2024 about The Flash (Barry Allen) being missing, I'm going with Wells is a speedster from the future (most likely Wally West come back to aid his mentor) and the Reverse/Yellow Flash is in fact Abra Kadabra.

...or is that just too far-fetched?

It's not hugely far fetched, I just don't see them taking one canon character and shoehorning them into the role of a different one sitting well with people.

Small flaw in that is that we've seen Wells flat out murder people in cold blood. As much as we'd all like Wells to be doing this 'for the greater good' I don't think he is. He's much more interested in using Barry as a lab rat to regain/gain his own super speed.
