US: The Flash (2014)

Not a fan of time travel episodes where they hammer the reset button (Let's be honest as soon as Barry goes back to Star Labs next episode everything else gets thrown off course and this whole episode will be thrown out) but I'll admit this has some nice moments. Usually I can't stand Cisco but the look of absolute betrayal on his face sold the whole thing so well.

Best episode so far for sure. But yes I assume the timeline will now get altered and none of what just occurred will happen :(.

Also yay for Spartacus.

I assume Barry will go back and alter time so that he never raises the concerns about Wells, so Cisco and Snow don't investigate, therefore letting Wells think he is still unsuspected. But Barry will still know, so he'll have to pretend he doesn't.

Oh and because he's changed time he will no longer get Iris (DRAMA!).

While I thought the episode was good, it is a shame that the next episode will make most of it irrelevant.

I think it will make a lot of it irrelevant but not all. There will be some stuff that happens that is inevitable.

For instance the revelation that Barry can go back in time if he runs fast enough is a great progression of his powers. Along with Wells being confirmed as the Reverse Flash and being from the future may not be revealed to the characters, assuming the events from that episode are eradicated, the viewers have an insight that the characters do not. A pretty clever idea really.

So there's more crappy teenage romance **** to come. Great stuff. I swear she's ruining the entire show for me.

I'm pretty sure Barry won't be able to solve everything that happened in that episode. There will be a choice he has to make and I'm going to bet that it will be between saving the city from a tidal wave, or saving one of his friends from dying.

Also, don't forget Barry is unaware of any of the Wells/Cisco stuff happening at the moment, so he won't be trying to stop something he doesn't know about.

Oh and I think Wells is from the future and has been stuck in this time since trying to kill Barry as a kid, but what I can't figure yet is why he was trying to kill him given that ever since being stuck here he's been trying to make the Flash to steal his speed?

I'd imagine the Flash was in the future in his time and sent him back somehow, so he was going to do a terminator, why he didn't attempt it over and over again is anyones guess.

I'm guessing that something happened when he went back to kill Barry that means he lost the ability to travel through time, hence why he's stuck around for 15 years orchestrating the creation of the Flash.

It could be to do with the speed force, maybe the reverse Flash siphons off the speed force for his powers but Barry charges it, so between Barry's Mums death and the Adult Barry getting his powers the reverse Flash was powerless.

That would also explain why he never bothered to try and Kill Barry again because he was normal once the Adult Barry returned to the future/died in the past and why he only started to use his powers again once Barry had his.

Also explains why in that earlier episode he was using that device to absorb the energy of the speed force.

Just my thoughts, sure I am way off. :)

The Flash is real

i enjoyed the end of that episode but i didn't have a bloody clue what they were all going on about. so wells came back in time to kill the flash, why? and in the process couldnt go forward in time and then creates the flash ... O-0 i i ...... i don't even. also who is he meant to be. its very confusing.

oh and yeah barry will sort it out or something and won't have the chick etc etc

I like this theory. The Reverse Flash needs The Flash to exist to have his speed. If they both went back in time to Barrys mum's death and The Flash left that time but the Reverse Flash didn't, it would mean Wells was stuck in a time when no Flash existed, and hence he had no speed. So he sets about plans to make one.

Sounds pretty reasonable.
