Yep, gave up on the FXs, the right decision in the end, as these cards are fantastic

I just got the Sapphire R9 Fury as it was going cheap. Anything I should know about it? Apart from the blue lights next to the power cables are annoying?!

Can change the colours of the LEDs, by little switches on them somewhere, not sure if you can turn them off though if you find them annoying.
Im just using the 15.7.1s, no issues with them.
you can switch them off.
drivers are 15.7.1. AMD is not nvidia, they don't pump out patches of the patches for drivers

If it is the sapphire it has dual bios so you can just switch the bios.

How many of the shaders did you manage to unlock?

No flash, still stock
Get them clocked to 1100 or as near as and see if they get 22k
. Then flash for another boost!
