I would but my case is itx (now regrettably) and only 2 slot and the sapphire is 2.5 thick from what I've read so only option is the strix which is dual slot or pay extra £100 for fury x

Hi, Presumably that Firestrike result is with it now running at 1000 mhz stock cause my 1040 stock Fury Tri-x gives a graphics score of 15471. It'll be interesting to see how far it'll overclock now though.

Yes it was at 1000mhz stock. I clocked it to 1050mhz to see if it would match the Fury X:

Some of my in game performance/temps. 1440P Max, no aa.
Fan speed is at 60%. Still purring quietly away
these are very impressive temps.

You could try overclocking the cpu to see if it lifts your gpu score. Seeing as you now sport a full on fury x I would expect a little bit more.

No you don't "need" more that's a very powerful cpu you got but it could why the fury x guys are getting a higher gpu score than you.

I noticed on the gpu-z score that your Pixel fillrate has dropped compared to mine, Could that be partly why your not getting Fury X scores if your not?
What exactly have you done to your card, Unlocked it, Is that a bio's thing?
If not do you need to get a Fury X bio's for it now that you have all the cores unlocked?
I don't know nothing about the subject so I may be chatting total bile .

Sorry I think there is a bit of confusion here. The first post I did it was not fully unlocked. I then tried to fully unlock it and it worked fine (I didn't expect it to).
If you compare the fully unlocked Fury with your Fury X score here: http://www.3dmark.com/compare/fs/5773261/fs/5680566 - you will see it is the same.
The unlock I did is basically taking the original bios, modding it to unlock it to a full fury X and flashing it back. I am not sure if you can just flash a fury X bios on to a fury, I'd guess not. It's looking better in gpu-z there, but with your partial unlock your Pixel fillrate was reading as lower than the Sapphire Fury Tri-x's pixel fill rate (66.6) was at stock. At the moment 3dmark gets the name of the Fury cards wrong, I own a Sapphire Fury Tri-x the same as yours not a full Fury X.Sorry I think there is a bit of confusion here. It's all good though, More performance for free, It'd be good if you could see how close to 1100 you can get with no artifacting on Firestrike so we can see how overclocking stability has been affected if you get time. I've tried 1110 and it's okay so I'll keep trying and find my limit.

These cards are just ripping Metro 2033 a new one (original) 
Maxed out @ 1440p, Advanced DOF On, just PhysX off, at the beginning, outside, when your mates turn up, and you form a circle when they come steaming in, im getting 120+fps, then when Hunter comes through the door, im still getting 90+fps, i remember the frames plummeting there when the door opens if you had the DOF on, into the teens or summit, me Furys are just laughing at it

The Tri-x are, I'm really happy with mine, I've had it on all day doing this and that with quite a bit of gaming included and real temp shows an all day max of 58 degrees.
That's crazy cool and it doesn't need the fan ramping up to do it. It's been performing well and I'm having no driver issues on Win 10 so I'm very happy I went with this in the end.

Awesome cards the Tri-Xs, my fans havn't hit 50% yet, think the highest ive seen is about 46%, and the temps only go between 70/71 - 77/78 (my single MSI Gaming 290X hit 88, with a manual fan speed of 80%), so they must have a target temp, as even just playing Fear, they go to those temps, but my usage is only about 12% per card, and the fans don't even break 20%, love em

I'm holding out for the asus strix fury does anyone know if these are keeping things as cool as the tri-x ?

Yeah it is around the Tri-X temps from the reviews ive seen, its louder though.

Well that was odd, just opened a website on FF, and my whole screen just corrupted, got horizontal multicoloured lines all over it, i could still see my desktop behind it though, so i pressed CTRl+ALT+DEL to bring up the Blue Task Manager menu screen, and it came on fine, corruption just vanished, screen just went back to normal, so i just presssed ESC to get back to the desktop, and that also came back fine, strange.
