The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

They already processed his refund. So what's the issue here? Says so in his first sentence. Personally I would prefer the refund as well, so then you can wait for a brand new stock that are all revised.

Now if they refused to do that, or give a replacement I would agree with you. I had a hell of a time dealing with a company also known as Scam recently.

I didnt see that, completely missed it, sorry.

You are sure AMD are fine losing more and more market share? ok then.

They are OK accepting that people have a choice.

The amount of pre-orders for Fury has surpassed what AMD thought.
Therefore losing one person who is impatient and not understanding of a defect from coolermaster that has already been addressed is not a issue.

It's not just one though is it. They are losing tons of custom due to continual fails.

Sound is subjective but it's a fault that shouldn't have been there in the first place. I'm pleased that the pump has been revised and new stock won't have this issue. Just need that bloody stock to make its way over to the UK now!

Hi Joe,

Am I correct in thinking then that my preorder due on the 17th will be a revised one?

Will probably edge the 390X and probably slot in between the 980 and Ti? Sliver of an SKU though, maybe 390X was only meant for a stop-gap card? Considering it was originally slated for a March launch this would make sense

According to this the Fury-X is 19% ahead of the R9 390X, TPU say Fury will be 10 to 15% slower, putting it 4 to 9% ahead of the 390X with a 28% more Shaders and 70% higher Memory Bandwidth.

That looks like they have gone backwards.

I don't know what I was expecting. Why can't buying GPUs be easy? :D

No fun then :D

It will be interesting what reviewers make of this given that they have already decided its a GTX 980 competitor.

The GDDR5 2816 Shader R9 390X is already that so if the HBM 3584 Shader Fury can't beat that convincingly then someone has some explaining to do.

Depends on how people view stuff as usual, fury x and 980ti same gaming experience. 1080p you buy a 380 or maybe a 390. 1440p or eyefinity you rather have a 390x or a Fury as scaling on resolutions is what the Fury was made to do.

In terms of performance I assume a 10-12% or so but a relatively little difference in actual gaming experience. you OC a little and the difference is negligible.

they are lowering nvidia into a false sense of security
windows 10 is the nvidia apocalypse raining hellfire and frogs n stuff
you will need sunglasses the frogs too!

Yup, that is pretty bonkers!! What the hell is going on with these chips!!

If Fury doesn't get any voltage unlocking the better GPU would be the 390X as that will overclock more and end up just as fast with 8GB of buffer.

Lets wait and see.

If the performance is pretty much the same as the Fury-X then IMO there is a problem with the Drivers.

if it does take a hit from less Shaders and end up sub 10% faster than the 390X then i think the hardware is at fault, the performance per Shader has gone backwards.

Whatever it is right now this thing is under performing.
