The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

Then you're just dedicating a load of vram and performance to aa which is pointless. I have a 32" 4k panel 2-4x is noticeable, anything after that you'd need a magnifying glass to see any difference.

It's my VRAM and I will use it however I want.:D:p

I am 56 years old and have no problem seeing the difference so I think people who are half my age will see it even better.:)

Or you could go to 4xaa on 4 cards and get better performance, or would that basically relegate 4 cards to being pointless as their grunt wouldn't be used effectively?

4 card with max settings is fast enough for the latest games and minimums are very good too.

Using max settings compresses the min and max around the average which works well @2160p.

Why is kaap catching flak for suggesting high AA as if he's cherry picking benches and yet isn't hat exactly what Maingear has done with those video benches.

How is he "catching flak" exactly? I've lost count of the amount of reviews that suggest that high levels of aa at 4k isn't necessary. And sites in the past have looked at 4 card scaling and deemed it not worth the money. So im trying to see if enabling high levels of aa at 4k makes the cards work better.

I prefer acetal but there weren't any. EK are making them on a daily basis for some reason. Likely because there aren't enough cards in the world to warrant making many lol.

I have a clear nickel one on order too, not sure why but I think it looks better than the black or copper ones, I guess its similar to the aquacomputer kryographics I had on my previous card, except this time its full cover and the fury x pcb is cleaner and smaller, my system is functional not show though so I wont actually see how it looks once its installed but for some reason I still try to make the individual components look good

hm, with new drivers performance is kinda more stable now, and ocing has stable boost as well. Though I only tested on few synthetic benches. On the other hand folding at home did not get any boost, and my 290x behaves worse in Euro truck simulator 2 than with 15.5beta. but since it is gonna be replaced by 2 furys this weekend I'm not bothered.

Also, one of the cards decided to give me heart attack. I was installing 15.7 drivers and during that flickering of the screen one of the cards pumps started whining. I thought wtf? Tried everything, was preparing myself for some RMA ********, and then suddenly card just shut up and started working as before - silently :D
